Character Descriptions for K-drama Black Knight Increase Intrigue and Excitement
I’m super curious now that specific details are being released about upcoming KBS Wed-Thurs drama Black Knight. It’s final casting of leads Kim Rae Won, Shin Se Kyung, and Seo Ji Hye are early enough as the drama doesn’t premiere until late fall after Mad Dog, which is assuring that there isn’t much controversy behind the scenes. The drama is described as an epic love story through the centuries and now comes the character descriptions with a surprising character that seems to exist through the centuries.
Kim Rae Won plays the male lead who is a successful business man who has endured childhood struggles and studied abroad in the US, studying medicine before going into business. Shin Se Kyung is an employee of a travel agency who has never travel abroad, needing to take care of her mother and her younger half-sister from the same mother. Seo Ji Hye plays the antagonist second female lead, the beautiful fashion designer who has not aged since an incident from 200 years ago and remains selfish, insistent, and has a huge victim complex.
I want Seo Ji Hye’s role! Sounds more intriguing then the other two. Lol
Seo ji hye is better than shin se kyung
Poor Seo Ji Hye always playing second lead. She is a good actress and I am sure she will do the role justice.
She had good chemistry with Kim Rae Won in Punch. She also showed great chemistry in Jealousy Incarnate. Too unfortunate that she’s playing a second lead.. especially since she is more capable of showing chemistry than Shin Se Kyung.
Ick. Shin Se Kyung is so cringeworthy to watch. Pass.
If the incident which happen 200 years ago is struck by lighting then she should meet with Adaline to get some advice.
Uh.. his profession sounds like a mashup of all his previous characters; from student in America and becoming a doctor and then from there a businessman lol. Also, wtf Shin Se Kyung’s previous character was similar too; a jaded heroine who wishes to travel (and leave all the stuff behind). Idk sounds weird.. well, KRW is a seasoned senior, he probably knows what he’s doing.
Sounds dumb tbh.
Although she(shin sekyung) is forever cancelled in my books as far as acting goes(together with other leading actresses; lee yeon hee, jin se yeon, yoona and suzy).I give her props, for her fighting spirit. No matter how many people bash her acting…she still carries on.No matter how many actor fans bash her for being paired up with their favs..she is not fazed one single bit.She is one tough young woman.
The second lead character role seems more interesting than the main leads…but nevertheless love Kim Rae won!!! Sorry, but the lead lady appears in too many drama, making me become bored of her already. She should keep her drama to a minimal.
With the same acting skill and style, ssk will just give us the same acting performance again and again.
Sigh. She has a good management who still got her many projects despite her acting skill. I hope she gets some rest and learn acting again. Never too late to learn and improve!
totally bored of SSK… K-drama is declining in quality… they are doing themselves in by having actress like her…

I am just happy KRW has finally chosen to do a drama with KBS instead of SBS. The way they treated him with the Daesang award…………….
That was a wrong move from SBS. Punch and Park Jung-hwan was the best drama, character and acting in SBS that year (and a ratings winner too), and one of the best performances, if not the best, from Kim Rae Won. In fact, that was his best drama out of all those melodramas and rom-coms he has played. He really suits dark characters in legal thrillers. So his new drama isn’t really making me too excited tbh. Good thing is that Kim Rae Won doesn’t seem to care too much about awards, especially some TV station year end awards since he doesn’t attend them. Gong Hyo Jin hasn’t attended them in a while either and I think Jo In Sung has skipped them too. He probably knows that they’re pointless and all about politics and that real acting talent is rarely awarded there. Plus he’s senior enough to do that.
