This week K-actor Jo Byung Gyu‘s bullying allegations case took a new turn of events. His agency HB Entertainment has asked the police to investigate in order to clear his name and this week one accuser who is South Korean and went to school with Jo Byung Gyu has recanted the allegations and written an apology. His agency is spinning this as a full exoneration of his bullying allegations but K-netizens have a detailed memory that allegations against Jo Byung Gyu were from multiple sources and the most serious one was from a classmate in New Zealand where he went to high school with. The New Zealand alleged victim has NOT recanted and withdrawn the allegations and is not the same person who recanted this week, so it’s sorta still status quo on his case. I think his agency is pushing him hard enough they will continue to throw money and manpower to exonerate him or hope this recent news is enough to clear his reputation enough for him to stage a comeback. I think the jury is out on this one for the time being.

On another similar note, I believe I saw an article where one of JiSoo’s accusers was proven to be false. I believe in his case some random dude made a false persona online and lied about some accusations.
In any case, we still don’t know if JBG is guilty or not. If he really is a bully then I hope the New Zealand victim stands firm. But all these false accusations that are coming up left and right are huge disservices to actual victims.
I don’t know why people try to create false stories and personas when it comes to celebrity cases like these. Are they so naive that they think they can’t be tracked down?
Ji Soo had post a statement of apology and even said so in person…I believe he was a bully..But to what extend. I dont know but I do believe there is truth in his case.
Not just JBG and Ji-soo but Park Hye-su as well. My thing about the recanters is that if A) they were really lying, what did they hope to get out of it? A payout or a sadistic pleasure to ruin someone’s career?
And B) isn’t it possible that they might have been telling the truth but were paid off or arm-twisted to recant by powers behind the scenes?
If they were really lying, then I hope to see some strong legal action taken against them. They’ve really done a disservice to the current and future victims who will be dismissed outright as liars. The fans of the three stars (most of whom didn’t want to believe the accusations against their idols in the first place) are just lapping up the recantations without asking any questions. And these recantations have also given even stronger hope to fans of disgraced stars (especially she who must not be named) that their idols will be cleared too.
If the accuser(s) were really lying, that sucks. But I remember JJY’s ex girlfriend recanting and posting an apology in 2016? and we now know that was all true. I’m always suspicious when these things happen. People lie but there’s a long history of agencies pressuring or throwing money at people to keep them quiet.
I got a bit confused with the different news and info coming out about Jo Byung Gyu’s bullying accusation case the last few days. Not sure if the above news is the most recent development, but I just caught this at Soompi – Jo Byung Gyu’s agency seems pretty confident about the apology given by the accusers from NZ.

You may want to recheck the latest info about this. There has been cases of fake accusations about bullying recently, and if this is what’s happening here, the young actor (and his agency) deserves to be given a fair chance to prove it.

Those who still stan this bully must don’t have brain and lacking taste. He good at acting but short, plain looking, there’s many stars better than him in every aspects, better looking an acting and taller yet you still stan this commoner who is clearly a bully
