Okay this one snuck up on me but seeing all the promos and previews in one batch got me more excited I think since the cast is just so-so for me. Disney+ streaming only drama Grid (original title was Zero) starring Seo Kang Joon, Kim Ah Joong, Lee Si Young. Kim Moo Yeol, and Kim Sung Kyun drops next week on February 16th and hasn’t gotten a lot of coverage so boo on the network for investing in it but not selling it to the viewers that its airing soon. The drama is about a detective investigating a “ghost” from 24 years ago and the present who arrives and does something only to disappear afterwards. There seems to be averting post-apocalyptic future elements as one poster as a crumbling city below the main leads all framed in a hellfire red background. I hope the writer who did Secret Forest (Stranger) 1 and 2 really has her sci-fi hat on before venturing into changing the world, changing the future type scenarios.

I like the actors and the writer! But after Alice and Sisyphus and others, I don’t really trust sci-fi Kdramas…
As for Actors, I love Lee Si Young and have been a lowkey fan of Seo Kang Joon after ‘I am Human ,too’.
His acting miraculously improved after that drama and decent in Watcher, Third Charm & When the weather is fine.
For the K sci-fi series, the only drama I like in recent year is ‘The Circle ‘ which is kind of well done.
Apart from that, I dont like any of them.

I really like Seo Kang Joon and Lee Si Young and am curious how this writer tackles sci-f, but I guess I’ll have to wait until Disney+ gets around to releasing it in North America. They really suck at promoting their dramas. Why even bother getting into kdramas.
So KMY has 2 OTT dramas releasing this month? Grid on Disney+ and Juvenile Justice on Netflix. Good on him.

First PSH-CTJ and now Binjin in March. Chukka hamida. May they be blessed with joy and a tiger/rabbit baby. Next I want to see Shin Mina and KWB get married.
Congratulations! SYJ is adorably cute. She posted a photo of mini bridal gown hung on a tiny coat hanger in IG and wrote in English too. Bless. HB as usual did it thru his VAST agency. All prim and proper. Their baby will be one gorgeous!
