Park Bo Young in Talks to be Leading Lady Opposite Jung Hae In in Rom-com K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son

Okay where I can donate money to make this happen like RIGHT NOW. Because the pairing of Park Bo Young and Jung Hae In in a rom-com seems straight out of fan fiction that I’m not even creative enough to write but will forever thank the drama gods if it existed. She’s a rom-com queen in both dramas and movies whereas he’s melo and action and will be taking on his first rom-com in the upcoming K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son. Not much needs to be said other than go forth and make this happen and then spoon feed the drama to me as I lounge in my throne of luxurious contentment.

  1. This is so random but would probably work. Plus they’re so visually compatible as both have soft baby faces lol. Looking forward to it!

  2. As much as I love Park Bo-young, she ain’t a rom-com queen lmfao. Her last rom com drama that did well was Strong woman 6 years ago. That’s a heck of a long time to still be called a rom com queen lol.

Anyway this sounds like a good pairing. I dunno how JHI will do in a rom com, but I did love him in WYWS – a lot more than the lead even 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • True. Abyss and Doom were trainwrecks. I feel like there isn’t even a current romcom queen with how actresses have been taking on more diverse genres. Also, gone is the day where kdramas starring A-listers would automatically become at least a moderate hit. Now audiences are mainly tuning in for good writing and plot.

      • @peanut gallery I’ve been avoiding Yoona’s dramas since “The King Loves.” I had no idea the writing was bad with the way her fans have been hyping it as the best romcom in recent years lol.

      • ABYSS IS a trainwreck but is indeed entertaining. Meanwhile Doom is just so bad and boring. no fun. And not all good writing get success rating. let’s be honest here. or else Daily Dose of Sunshine will be be hella popular. Don’t measure great audience = quality.

  3. I’m loving PBY in current slice of life, Daily Dose of Sunshine. In OMG, SGBS, and Abyss, her exaggerated cuteness was overbearing.
