iQiyi Schedules Period Drama Go East with Tan Jian Ci for August 2024 After the Summer Olympics and Capitalizing on His Lost You Forever Part 2 Rise in Popularity

So the viewers of Lost You Forever Part 1 who fell in love with Xiang Liu played by Tan Jian Ci are only going to love him even more in Part 2, and it’s already happening. Within a week of LYF2 airing, Tan Jian Ci is just behind Yang Zi in the hot buzz chart and reportedly the highest buzz numbers for any actor or actress playing a special role (not either of the two leads). iQiyi was toying between premiering it’s period drama Go East starring Tan Jian Ci and Zhou Yi Ran now to capitalize on it but has decided to wait until right after the Olympics ends in mid-August and premiere it then. So be on the lookout for this drama coming next month and it’s going to be a whiplash character and acting change from his current Xiang Liu persona.

  3. Nobody cares about lost you forever 2, it’s a huge flop. His rise came with the first part.

      Lost You Forever 2 is NOT as good as the 1st one and I think the wait time between them made it not so exciting for me. I’m just speaking for myself here.

  4. I can’t wait. Tan Jian Ci is such a versatile actor and is not limiting himself to only specific roles. So talented, can’t wait to see him in Go East, looks like it’s a comedic role too.

  5. I haven’t watched him in anything, but I am very glad there is at least one actor that breaks the “super tall” stereotype. It feels that lately actors are promoted for being tall and handsome, not for their acting talent.

    Don’t you all get upset, I don’t mean that EVERY tall actor cannot act.

  6. I’m a little worried that they rushed this out, as it’s been less than a year since it wrapped. Hopefully it doesn’t have many special effects. I am glad to hear that they are waiting till after the Olympics. I hope it does spectacularly for iQiYi.

Que bueno que tendremos a Tan jian ci nuevamente en la pantalla chica con otro drama,es mi actor chino favorito,lo amé desde que ví un drama de él por primera vez,es un excelente artista de la cabeza a los pies, versátil con innumerables cualidades istrionicas , nos regaló un Xiang liu legendario y memorable, que no podremos olvidar nunca,se metió en la piel del personaje y le dió todo, alma, corazón y vida,Tan jian ci es un vivo ejemplo de perseverancia, muy trabajador y talentoso,y podemos tener la completa seguridad de que cualquier personaje lo va a hacer espectacular,lo va a llevar a la cima, porque es un súper artista, gracias por existir y por regalarnos tanto amor y talento, gracias TAN JIAN CI,I love You forever ❤️❤️❤️❤️
