The full spring mood hasn’t arrived for me yet, the weather waffles between still cold late winter and muggy early summer from day to day. I want true spring, the soft light touch that says life is coming back to a gentle breezy state. Lee Min Ho really brings that in his latest CF pictorial for clothing brand AndZ. The … Continue reading →
It was yet another historic year for the Korean film industry at the Academy Awards, after last year Parasite winning Best Movie and Bong Joon Ho taking home Best Director, this year it was on the acting side as veteran actress Youn Yuh Jung won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Minari. The Parasite cast was not nominated for … Continue reading →
I’m so happy that KBS drama River Where the Moon Rises had a happy ending in the story for the OTP and a happy ending for the production. It was like watching a tightrope walker performing live, I was holding my breath hoping for no editing mistakes in trying to splice in replacement male lead Na In Woo and to … Continue reading →
I’m ready for Vincenzo to end, not because I’m tired of it but because as a viewer I can see that the story is building right up to the climax. A reader/viewer never should wants more story at the expense of the right telling of the story. Episode 18 was amazing, back to the rocking and rolling I expect and … Continue reading →
I’m not going to go as far as saying Jang Geun Seok‘s career never reached it’s potential but it’s more like it going go the way most pundits and fans thought it would when be broke out with You’re Beautiful in 2009. Before that he was already the rising young actor to watch with Hwang Jini and Hong Gil Dong, … Continue reading →
This Sunday is the 2021 Academy Awards, held later than the usual Feb/March time frame due to lingering COVID1-19 reasons but it’s still happening with plenty of great movies and performances to laud. K-film had a banner year in 2020 right before COVID-19 shut the world down. I still remember Parasite winning Best Picture and Best Screenplay, and Bong Joon … Continue reading →
We are in the final stretch for Vincenzo and Mr. Koala even teased me this morning as he headed out to run an errand, telling me “Enjoy your Vincenzo!”. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought as would, episode 17 wasn’t nearly the comeback I expected after the one week hiatus and I’m not sure if it’s … Continue reading →
I’m getting more and more excited for MBN sageuk drama Bossam: Stealing Fate. KBS sageuk River Where the Moon Rises is done and there is no Joseon Exorcist that I was expecting, but I’m still in the sageuk state of mind so Bossom looks just tasty and perfect. Starring Jung Il Woo and Yuri, the drama gets out of the … Continue reading →
Time is a butcher’s knife but everyone of these ladies are still top beauties today and looking back at a moment in their past career where each had a legendary level of beauty moment is still a marvel. K-netizens have always appreciated that their leading ladies can stand toe to toe with the top beauties in other cinematic industries and … Continue reading →
Man, how can the production style male lead Ahn Bo Hyun like he just walked out of the webtoon and then miss so far off the mark with female lead Kim Go Eun. The two actors were spotted in the streets of Seoul this week filming the upcoming K-drama adaptation of super popular webtoon Yumi’s Cells. It’s drawn from the … Continue reading →
I….have a lot of thoughts about tvN drama Mouse, but it’s so jumbled much like this drama I don’t know where the start hence the lack of consistently writing about it. It’s probably the most “interesting” drama airing right now for me, but the majority of that stem from constant WTF, aggravation, shock for shock factor, and general sense of … Continue reading →

The drama has him playing a mysterious … Continue reading →
