Calm down, calm down, stop hyperventilating. Okay, who am I kidding – everyone commence hyperventilating! One of the major Chinese networks Jiang Su STV has confirmed that Taiwanese boyband extraordinaire F4 is in fact reuniting and performing for its 2013 Lunar New Year extravaganza program welcoming the year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac. Despite all attempts to sign … Continue reading →
Despite the recent generally lackluster offerings in the usually high profile Wed-Thurs network K-dramas, the just premiered 7th Level Civil Servant should be glad its got a 3 week head start on its upcoming rivals. Action thriller IRIS 2 premieres on February 13th and will certainly be a formidable opponent in terms of star wattage and production grandeur, but also premiering … Continue reading →
Recently coming across new pictures of Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi promoting The King 2 Hearts brings back such fond memories of that drama, and intertwined in all those memories are of the adorable and talented Jo Jung Seok who played the unforgettable Eun Shi Kyung, the slightly stodgy and incredibly earnest King’s guard. I pile hope upon … Continue reading →
The main three Korean networks continue their attempt to seep every last ounce of goodwill I have for them since there isn’t currently a single K-drama on MBC, SBS, or KBS that I wholeheartedly love. The second half downward spiral of Alice in Cheongdamdong has been painful to witness, and the less said about the new arrivals in Yawang (the … Continue reading →
It’s here! This might be the last thing we see Yoo Seung Ho in before he enlists in the military so savor it while you can. His enlistment is imminent and his agent has said that it will be low key and not open to the media. On one hand I respect his decision to enlist like every other 19 … Continue reading →
Woah, these are two former drama co-stars I never thought to see together in any capacity again. Kim Nam Gil held a series of fan meetings in Japan in early January and his Bad Guy co-star Jung So Min was actually in attendance for all of them. Nothing going on between them, LOL, merely that Bad Guy was very popular … Continue reading →
The latest news report on the upcoming underdog drama Advertising Genius Lee Tae Baek confirms that this will be a drama with two male leads and two female leads, rather than main versus second leads that most often sets up K-dramas. The most recent K-drama with leads with equal importance and screen time would be critically acclaimed The Chaser. The … Continue reading →
When I watch Flower Boy Next Door, I find myself appreciating it in real time. Normally we fickle beings don’t know a good thing when we see it, more often than not only appreciating things once it’s over. It’s hard to quantify something immediately, especially when there remains an unknown element that can shift the axis later. With that said, … Continue reading →
I am so amused by the press conference for 7th Level Civil Servant that I simply had to post about it despite having barely any interest for this drama. It’s been too long since I’ve seen such level of fashion epic fail from an entire drama cast at its press conference. I remember the ladies of Dream High 2 collectively … Continue reading →
Well……this outta be interesting. SBS Mon-Tues is off to a melodrama start with Yawang (Queen of Ambition) starring Su Ae and Kwon Sang Woo, but the network is getting my interest up for the follow up drama which sounds all sorts of strange and far out. Despite the recent sageuk mediocrity I’ve still a fondness for the genre and the … Continue reading →
Flower Boy Next Door continues to be so lovely in its simplicity. There isn’t a lot of story, there is really very little conflict, and in general the story revolves around a group of people going about their day. It ought to be boring but it isn’t. There little details and delicate touches fascinate me. I’m not crazy about this … Continue reading →
Craaaaack. The upcoming rap MV for So Ji Sub starring Yoo Seung Ho and Park Shin Hye is going to be a reduced form of drama crack. Mnet released part 2 of its behind-the-scenes look at the filming for the MV and I’m already quivering with excitement to see the end product. Glimpses of Yoo Seung Ho and Park Shin … Continue reading →
The last 5 minutes of episode 14 of Cheongdamdong Alice was the best plot development to happen in this drama for the past 6 episodes. It was also what should have happened like 5 episodes ago, which continues to grate that so much time was wasted on pointless filler tension. The entire last 5 episodes was all about keeping the … Continue reading →
