Lee Dong Wook. Being seksi in Australia for Sure Magazine. The end. What? You guys need more words from me? Wookie has been on television regularly these days since taking over co-hosting duties on Strong Heart, occupying the position formerly held by Lee Seung Gi. It’s still odd to me since the two men appear to have such vastly different … Continue reading →
Well the written preview for episode 9 of Big certainly starts to shed light on the mystery of the connection between the two male leads. I’m actually hoping this will send the mystery unraveling at hyper speed rather than dribs and drabs, though I am wanting more Kyung Jae-Da Ran married couple cuteness before the inevitable hammer of angst hits. … Continue reading →
Making his long awaited return to television, Joo Ji Hoon has chosen to go with a 50-episode long weekend drama that will surely test his endurance and mettle. Hey, if you want to make a comeback, why not go all out? The drama is called The Piano Forest (also known as Five Fingers) and stars Joo Ji Hoon as a … Continue reading →
Talk about a case of bros-got-your-back. SS501’s Kim Hyung Jun is releasing a new solo mini album titled “Escape” in July, and for his first single also called “Escape”, he’s joined by his friends and same agency hyungs Kang Ji Hwan and Lee Ki Woo in a 25-minute long music video mini movie. The first stills released show the three … Continue reading →
I’m going to refrain from making any puns on Happy Noodle, because there is nothing that won’t sound raunchy and really the drama title silliness speaks for itself. Filming started in late May on the C-drama Happy Noodle starring Yoon Si Yoon, Li Fei Er, and Zhang Jun Ning. I was wondering who the second male lead was since he’s taller than the already … Continue reading →
I think I might have solved the big mystery in Big – the connection between Yoon Jae and Kyung Joon, which leads into why their souls switched during the accident. Of course nothing can truly explain away the magic involved, but I think I have the context and the raison d’etre. This is completely my speculation after mulling over all … Continue reading →
Speechless. Episode 8 left me completely speechless with what happened, how it all unfolded, and the big kapow possibility at the end. I can’t believe the Hong Sisters actually went there. But the intense, mature, and honest emotional revelations and discussions in episode 8 left me quivering from absorbing so much. Da Ran finally broke through her self-doubt and figured … Continue reading →
It’s already the third season of KBS Summer drama specials, and this year I get a special treat beyond enjoying some fantastic and quirky one-shot fare. Park Shin Hye is making her television return in mid-July starring in an one episode drama special called Don’t Worry, I’m a Ghost. Like the title isn’t contradictory enough already (since the only reason … Continue reading →
I can sincerely say that Big is a drama that is much better watched than reading the recaps. I don’t always feel this way, as a recap writer I actually resort to reading recaps of my own or others for certain dramas I’m in the mood to revisit. Sometimes it’s to reminisce about a scene, other times to savor an … Continue reading →
Episode 7 of Big was noticeably low on energy. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it felt devoid of any zip and the characters were rather in suspended animation. A few plot points got moved forward, but the process unfolded without much to grip my attention. Emotionally I was invested, because the episode moved Da Ran and … Continue reading →
Little. Heart. Break. If the end of episode 7 of Big has already cracked my heart a sliver, I shudder to think what sort of inconsolable mess I’ll be when the angst really hits in this drama. But then I tell myself that every drama couple needs to go through the tough challenges to earn their time together, so I’ll … Continue reading →
If folks needed yet another reason to watch the upcoming fantasy sageuk Arang and the Magistrate, this might be another lure. KBS used the Red One camera on Chuno and The Princess’s Man, both of which were dramas that was an undeniable visual feast. Set the directing aside, the cinematography was breathtaking. MBC is looking to take Arang to even … Continue reading →
For all you UK drama fans, I’m sorry I was rather preoccupied lately and couldn’t give you the heads up that Lee Seung Gi was going to be in your neck of the woods this week. My adorable boy was there to carry the Olympic torch on behalf of Samsung, where he is one of their primary star endorsers, and … Continue reading →
