So close, but not quite there. The King 2 Hearts won’t make my top-10 favorites list, but it wasn’t for lack of trying. Ultimately enough hiccups here and there accumulated that it weighed down the story in parts and stretched credulity in others. But that is the only rub in an otherwise magnificent drama watching experienced. I laughed, I cried, … Continue reading →
A balm for the teary soul is always a little bit of cheer. MBC released a veritable treasure trove of BTS pictures from episode 19 of The King 2 Hearts, Jae Ha and Hang Ah’s night out at the amusement park. The OTP was at times cheesy, at times strangely fast-paced, but almost always there was a palatable energy, chemistry, … Continue reading →
“You keep saying I’m a player. Maybe I am quite a player? Let’s confirm.” Kim Boong Do jjang! Episode 11 of Queen In Hyun’s Man was so gratifying it couldn’t have come at a better time then right after the sucker punch that was The King 2 Hearts episode 19. QIHM always calms me down, always settles my heart into … Continue reading →
There is very little I can write here that won’t completely spoil episode 19 of The King 2 Hearts, so I’ll keep it short. This drama continues to climb towards a climax when most other dramas are crawling to a whimpering conclusion. A few more twists and turns are revealed, and the road to ever after for a King and … Continue reading →
Oh lordy, I had forgotten how awesome this chapter of Yun Zhong Ge was. It’s all happy, so don’t worry, pure happiness and then some. At times I felt like I was translating a steamy chapter of a romance novel. Let’s just say….there be A LOT of kissing. Watching Yun Ge try to seduce Liu Fu Ling had me chortling … Continue reading →
[Edit: HOMG, we’re getting some major kissage coming up! Added new pics below *flails* She kisses him while standing on his feet for added elevation! *__*] In start contrast to the fan fervor over Queen In Hyun’s man, watching the drama leaves me mellow and placid. Like reading a good book while sipping a fine tumbler of whisky. Perhaps its … Continue reading →
The final crew of The King 2 Hearts finished filming just hours ago on Tuesday night, and below are the cast and crew commemorative pictures. Not having this drama filming hours before the final episode broadcasts on Thursday is already a herculean feat I need to applaud. *clap clap clap* This drama has thus far exceeded every expectation I had, … Continue reading →
The more teasers and stills released by Big, the more it turns me into a kid in a candy store. Or a more apt analogy would be that it turns me into Tom Hanks in Big dancing on the floor sized piano strip on the floor of F.A.O. Schwartz. I revert back to being giggly and giddy, which is exactly … Continue reading →
It’s here – the famous chapter Lily Boat Night Song in volume 2 of Yun Zhong Ge, the one Tong Hua wrote just for Liu Fu Ling. I’d be remiss not to share it with everyone, especially since it’s not just a fun chapter, it also heralds a dreaded moment in Liu Fu Ling’s life. What struck me in re-reading … Continue reading →
The appearance of written and video previews for episode 19 of The King 2 Hearts hammers home the reality that this drama really is ending this week. I’m both sad and elated. This story feels like its coming to a logical conclusion, and I abhor dragging things out for the sake of milking popularity or filling screen time. I’m comforted … Continue reading →
How awesome and crazy busy is this week going to be for me. Work is kicking my behind, plus I have the last 2 episodes of The King 2 Hearts to look forward to, then I’m heading to NYC for the weekend. On top of that, I’m now on the Queen In Hyun’s Man love fest, and this week we … Continue reading →
I completely understand and respect some fans decision to remain unspoiled for the finale of The King 2 Hearts. I wish I had such discipline. The drama is scheduled to complete all filming by Tuesday, though certain crews have already finished their shoots and taken the obligatory end-of-drama commemorative picture. Two of them have been leaked and it’s pretty spoilery, … Continue reading →
OMG Flails, Flails, Flails Uncontrollably! The cast of upcoming supernatural fantasy sageuk Arang and the Magistrate released pictures of its script reading session, and I needed a spatula to scrape me off the floor. Jun Ki. JUN KI. JunKiJunKiJunKiJunKiJunKiJunKiJunKiJunKiJunKi…. What? Oh yes, I’m supposed to write something coherent. I think this drama will be the shizniz, because the cast is fantabulous. … Continue reading →
