The Guen-Geun Couple love out there is pretty hardcore. I find new stuff almost daily from fans who adore this couple to pieces. It might even rival ArJoe and YamaKi for longevity. I definitely want Geun2 to go the route of the other two couples, and do multiple projects together, even if the K-entertainment industry rarely pairs actors together for multiple … Continue reading →
I wonder if Basic House did their research before hiring Moon Geun Young and Won Bin as their spokes couple for 2011. The reason I say this is because both have been selected by Sohu (China’s top search engine) for inclusion into their annual 50 Most Beautiful People of the World picks. In fact, only four Korean entertainers made it … Continue reading →
This is the first recap I wrote completely on a cross-country flight. Woo hoo, three cheers for inflight WiFi (and I’m posting this recap while I am still in the air, this technology shiz is awesome)! My Princess Episode 4 – yeah, it’s also pretty awesome. Just sayin’. I enjoyed this episode even more than the previous episode, which appears … Continue reading →
Moon Geun Young‘s first picture from her Basic House photo shoot (partnering with Won Bin) has been released. She is getting more beautiful by the day. Shedding Mae Ri’s excessive amount of hair, she’s going for a look that is both youthful and striking. I can’t say sensuous, but she’s looking more womanly lately. Cannot wait to see the entire … Continue reading →
I think I am falling in love with My Princess. It knows its strengths and executes it fluidly and simply. It appears that the viewers in Korea feel the same way, as MP handily beat Sign this week and also passed 20% in ratings. When you watch a solidly constructed rom-com, the effortless way it elicits all the reactions from … Continue reading →
I just had a bottle of 1996 Rubicon Cabernet with a New York Bone-in Strip, followed by a molten chocolate lava cake with a Glenlivit 1994 cask in whisky. Satisfied does not even begin to describe me. Been in meetings all day, and finally bringing you the preview for episode 4 of My Princess.
Continue reading →Wow. I am really beginning to get into Dream High. The first two episodes were okay, competent at best (pretty to look at with stiff acting from the youngsters and a certain Yonsama), but didn’t really convey any heart and depth. It was glossy and slick, just one step above all style, no substance. But it was good enough, leaving … Continue reading →
Who has watched the epic drama this photoshopped imaged of our beloved Geun-Geun Couple is paying homage to? These photoshopped pictures are courtesy of the magnificently talented zitalei (小蕾) at Baidu’s Moon Geun Young Bar. Can I just tell you – the thought of either actor doing a wuxia drives me insane with want. Only because wuxias are so angsty, … Continue reading →
I’ve been watching Secret Garden for the past 9 weeks. It’s been both the best of dramas, and now, the worst of dramas. It’s taken me this long to write about this drama again because it’s been that aggravating to watch. One minute I’m consumed by the raw emotion, the next minute I am underwhelmed by the verbal showmanship. I … Continue reading →
My Princess is exceedingly breezy. I find that its winsome OST really goes a long way in elevating its ordinary script and serviceable acting. Other than the early part of episode 1, I find the drama has settled into its groove and doesn’t try too hard to convince me that I must love it. This week looks to be more plot … Continue reading →
I’ve seen quite a few MVs floating around various video sharing sites that aim to collect and showcase the best K-drama kisses of 2010. After watching quite a few, I must say that 2010 was exceedingly fanservicy with the kissing and the cute couples. Of my favorite K-drama couples of all-time, quite a few actually come from 2010 dramas. Below … Continue reading →
The Duo, SBS’s upcoming fusion sageuk, has commenced filming already. Production is currently filming the children portion of the story, which includes teen actors playing the teenage version of the lead characters. The Duo is hands down my most anticipated drama of early 2011, since I have been dreaming of lead actor Chun Jung Myung doing a sageuk since he … Continue reading →
The preview for episode 18 of Secret Garden is out. It’s short, but I think it confirms everyone’s suspicions about what happened when Joo Won drove into the storm with Ra Im in his convertible. Can I just say – Yoon Sang Hyun is shining so much in SG, and the preview gives him a chance to tap into his … Continue reading →
