There’s always the next generation coming along and another batch of Korean child and teen acting talent has aged into their own leading roles in recent years from Kim Yoo Jung to Kim So Hyun. It’s never a bad thing for the latest young talent to have an eerie resemblance to already famous faces and two child model-actress currently enchanting … Continue reading →
Hhhhmmmm, I wonder if reshoots are going on and changes are being made to the final arc of Alchemy of Souls. If I take tvN at its word then this is nothing more than just good production values at play as the network announced that the drama will not air next weekend on August 13-14 in order for the production … Continue reading →
I mean, this movie is high profile, no? A sequel to a box office hit original and starring three movie star male leads and another movie star lead as the baddie and toss in an idol-actress for eye candy, it’s basically a box office guarantee. This is the kind of movie audiences will flock to because it signals action entertainment … Continue reading →
If this turns into another Kairos I’m good with it, objectively that was one of the best dramas in 2021 albeit super low rated and the same PD is behind Adamas and so far it’s not a promising start. The thriller investigative drama premiered last week but most of South Korea is in an Extraordinary Attorney Woo collective euphoria so … Continue reading →
I’m glad to read this news because at least the production has made a decision. Netflix produced drama Bloodhounds (Hunting Dogs) has decided to bring new cast member Jung Da Eun onboard and she will be playing a newly written role. The drama will write original second female lead Kim Sae Ron basically dead and Jung Da Eun will take … Continue reading →
C-drama A Dream of Splendor was a HUGE hit when it aired a few months ago but the buzz really died down once it finished, perhaps signaling that the drama doesn’t have long legs. Doesn’t matter much as it delivered the viewership during its run and cemented Crystal Liu in her A-list status and Chen Xiao for still picking great … Continue reading →
I wish this drama didn’t call itself Little Women but then again quite a few Korean dramas have used famous Western work titles and it didn’t create confusion, thinking of Pinocchio and While You Were Sleeping among others. Perhaps this is using that classic novel set up of four sisters as an inspiration, but this time its just three sisters … Continue reading →
Awwwwww, it’s like two dads just marveling at how well and grow up their little boy is now lololol! This Tuesday was the VIP premiere in Seoul of the thriller action movie Hunt, it’s Lee Jung Jae‘s directorial debut and he also stars in the movie alongside his real life bestie and fellow A-movie star Jung Woo Sung. The movie … Continue reading →
Shin is back! And he’s leveled up to a smexy little low pony to boot lol. Now that he’s grown up since Kingdom the original first move in the adaptation of the same name shonen manga, I guess he’s no longer going to be screaming “HYO!” all day long and now focus his attentions on helping new bestie and young … Continue reading →
The title makes it sound like a Squid Game type escape story but coming from the PD and screenwriter combo that produced the mega hit but also mega crazy SBS drama Penthouse and kept it going for three seasons means it’s just makjang to come even in escape form. But this combo clearly has the track record of delivering the … Continue reading →
The joke about action movies is that when the first is a hit then the inevitable sequel will take the exact same ingredients and just make it faster, louder, and general more in every way. That’s exactly what’s happening with upcoming K-movie Confidential Assignment 2, the sequel to the 2017 flick and this time two male leads in Hyun Bin … Continue reading →
It’s hilarious that I found out this news after I wrote the article about the upcoming Netflix live action drama adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho, where people groan about Netflix ruining their childhood memories, because THIS is what would ruin my childhood memories. I’m talking about the upcoming Hollywood movie live action adaptation of shonen manga Saint Seiya, which dominated … Continue reading →
The whole soul swapping thing has been both an asset and recently a crutch for Alchemy of Souls. Yes wuri Mu Deok/Naksu is at risk thanks to the two sharing a body but sometimes it feels dangerous and other times it’s an afterthought. I don’t know anymore if she has an ultimate purpose, now that she knows her dad went … Continue reading →
