Shin is back! And he’s leveled up to a smexy little low pony to boot lol. Now that he’s grown up since Kingdom the original first move in the adaptation of the same name shonen manga, I guess he’s no longer going to be screaming “HYO!” all day long and now focus his attentions on helping new bestie and young … Continue reading →
The title makes it sound like a Squid Game type escape story but coming from the PD and screenwriter combo that produced the mega hit but also mega crazy SBS drama Penthouse and kept it going for three seasons means it’s just makjang to come even in escape form. But this combo clearly has the track record of delivering the … Continue reading →
The joke about action movies is that when the first is a hit then the inevitable sequel will take the exact same ingredients and just make it faster, louder, and general more in every way. That’s exactly what’s happening with upcoming K-movie Confidential Assignment 2, the sequel to the 2017 flick and this time two male leads in Hyun Bin … Continue reading →
It’s hilarious that I found out this news after I wrote the article about the upcoming Netflix live action drama adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho, where people groan about Netflix ruining their childhood memories, because THIS is what would ruin my childhood memories. I’m talking about the upcoming Hollywood movie live action adaptation of shonen manga Saint Seiya, which dominated … Continue reading →
The whole soul swapping thing has been both an asset and recently a crutch for Alchemy of Souls. Yes wuri Mu Deok/Naksu is at risk thanks to the two sharing a body but sometimes it feels dangerous and other times it’s an afterthought. I don’t know anymore if she has an ultimate purpose, now that she knows her dad went … Continue reading →
The wedding of TW-actor Tony Yang with his longtime girlfriend was a lovely affair this weekend. Delayed a year due to COVID, the couple and their now 1-year old daughter as their flower girl threw a star studded ceremony and reception that included many of their celeb friends. It was basically a Light the Night reunion and kudos to the … Continue reading →
Well if this was intention then good job getting media attention lol. TW-actress Chen Qiao En (Joe Chen) got married earlier this year to Malaysian businessman Alan Chen. She’s older by 9 years but the two dated for nearly three years after getting paired up together for a C-reality dating show. This weekend Chen Qiao En posted an anniversary message … Continue reading →
Durrrr, this drama pace is really challenging my patience. Don’t fret, I still love Alchemy of Souls and it’s the one drama I immediately think to watch when I wake up on Saturday and Sunday mornings when new episodes drop, but episode 13 was sooooooooo slow. It was half Wook and Mu Deok escaping Jin Mu and half more training … Continue reading →
I think this won’t impact K-actor Kang Tae Oh‘s career too much and it may just delay his ascendance to big time male lead level for another two years. K-ent is reporting that Kang Tae Oh is scheduled to enlist for his mandatory military service in either August or September. He was reportedly enlisting this year regardless but now more … Continue reading →
Recently Netflix has been getting flack for its self-produced shows and movies, namely that there hasn’t been as good a quality as previous years and the hits from this year come from licensed shows that stream on the platform. I wouldn’t signal the death knell on Netflix anytime soon but I’m selfishly wishing all its new movies and dramas are … Continue reading →
I feel bad for these two dramas which actually both look good and create counter programming so something for different tastes. But with Wed-Thurs drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo dominating across the board in buzz it almost feels like these two new premieres aren’t getting as much attention as it would have normally. New MBC Fri-Sat drama is Big Mouth with … Continue reading →
Next year’s 2023 the Best Actress Baeksang is definitely going through Park Eun Bin for Extraordinary Attorney Woo. She missed out last year after being nominated for The King’s Affection which makes her chance even better this year, plus she has delivered the biggest surprise hit in years that is dominating South Korean watercoolers. The drama took another high jump … Continue reading →

HK 12-member boy bang Mirror was holding a large concert at Hong Kong Coliseum on Friday when during the performance one of the three giant LED screens hanging over the stage suddenly fell and unfortunately struck two backup dancers. One was critically injured … Continue reading →
