This may be a first in two K-dramas losing their leading man rather abruptly before the series has wrapped filming. On the heels of Yoon Doo Joon enlisting in the military and his drama Let’s Eat 3Â to end two episodes early, over at MBC the low rated Mon-Tues melodrama Time will lose leading man Kim Jung Hyun immediately with his … Continue reading →
The pressure that Park Shin Hye has carried for the last decade must be intense and immense. As a child actress she is all wide-eyed optimism and potential but the moment she embarked on being an adult contender in the cutthroat K-acting world then it was with extra scrutiny. There are those who think she always looks like a young … Continue reading →
I’ve got a new young boy actor to add to my harem of rising cuties and it’s none other than Ahn Hyo Seob thanks to his performance in SBS Mon-Tues drama Thirty But Seventeen. Both drama leads Yang Se Jong and Shin Hye Sun are doing a marvelous job but the surprise and sweet heart of the drama characters for … Continue reading →
It’s officially a go for upcoming fall tvN melodrama Boyfriend, with female lead Song Hye Kyo posting a picture of her first two scripts for the drama. It seems rather serious looking at the font style they used for the drama title, but then again an older woman from a rich family dealing with the aftermath of an arranged society … Continue reading →
The visuals are going to be plaintively beautiful the smile won’t leave my eyes insomuch as I’ll be clouded from too much pretty. The first preview is out for the K-drama remake of J-dorama One Million Stars Falling From the Sky (Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi also known as The Smile Has Left Your Eyes) this time called Hundred … Continue reading →
The British-founded scent house Jo Malone is doing a concerted push in South Korea because this month has not just one but two big ad campaigns for the brand. First there was the pictorial with L (Kim Myung Soo) laying around a room, presumably smelling very good, and now comes the pictorial with Kim Ji Won spending the afternoon in … Continue reading →
There was a two-fer news featuring K-actor Lee Jong Seok to end the week, and both are actually connected. The K-media first reported that Lee Jong Seok was going to be the leading man in upcoming K-drama Younger, and then would enlist after that in February 2019. His side quickly debunked the rumor, saying that Younger was offered to Lee … Continue reading →
The juxtaposition between covered and exposed, broad and lithe, are so well photographed in the latest CF pictorial featuring top Korean actress Jeon Ji Hyun. The woman slays as a fashion goddess in how she just knows how to deliver a shot. Even modeling puffy winter down coats she reminds us that chubby outerwear doesn’t necessarily make the wearer look … Continue reading →

Gosh darn it, these two look so cute and it doesn’t even negate all the previous times they’ve individually looked cute with other onscreen costars. The drama posters are out for tvN romantic sageuk 100 Days My Prince (Dear Husband of 100 Days or Dear My Husband) and I totally melted at the poster on top where D.O perches in … Continue reading →
The strategy has paid off so that’s the upsize for a sandwich brand that has bedeviled my K-drama watching experience for the past few years. I remember the first K-drama when Subway first showed up excessively and prominently, it was Prime Minister and I in 2013 and since then it’s been the most glaring PPL offender around. There are lots … Continue reading →
