OMG nooooooooo. Like, seriously nooooooooo. Why baby boi why, this would be such a perfect drama to cut your teeth on being the shining star of the show instead of the shiny perfect second male lead. Rising young actor Ahn Hyo Seob has declined the male lead offer to star opposite Kim So Hyun in K-drama Love Alarm adapted from … Continue reading →
The lifting of the China Hallyu ban may have or will soon happen as C-ent is reporting on some recent activity. Park Seo Joon attended a CF event in China and Chanyeol is scheduled to do one, whereas for the last two years there have been very few and far between media appearances by K-stars in China. Also on the … Continue reading →
TW-actress Chen Qiao En has been working diligently and laying low since starting off the 2018 new year on the wrong side of the law with a drunk driving arrest in Taipei. One hopes she’s learned that lesson and at least there was no one hurt. She’s always been one of the handful of Taiwan drama actresses that always looks … Continue reading →
Man, it’s tough to be an A-list actress in China, even occupying the female lead role for nearly 10 years and still Tang Yan (Tiffany Tan) gets flack for what is admitting a pretty legit phenomenal but one that I don’t think can be attributed to her doing something actively to promote it. The C-media is covering what C-netizens have … Continue reading →
K-actress Song Hye Kyo makes waves wherever she goes and her recent airport appearance this week does double duty. It confirms this age-less beauty looks glowing and radiant even with minimal makeup, dressed casually in black oversized shirt with jean shorts combo, and with a baseball cap covering her hair. It’s what’s underneath the baseball cap that got a lot … Continue reading →
Kisses and tears are two of the more memorable aspects of K-dramas because the early Hallyu dramas piled on romance and misery in equally measure to create the world of K-drama melodramas as we know it. Over the years the crying has gone from contrived parental disapproval and/or terminal illness to a plethora of reasons to milk those ducts dry. … Continue reading →
It’s rare for the pairing up of two popular K-ent stars to end up so visually flat in attire and energy, especially this being a Park-Park pairing that follows on the heels of a recent very popular Park-Park onscreen coupling. Park Seo Joon and Park Shin Hye were the two very big-name attendees at the Ryo hair care brand event … Continue reading →
You know you love a drama when it elicits the entire breadth of emotions from anger to happy tears in a single episode. Even more clear how much I’m loving tvN drama Knowing Wife (Familiar Wife) is that I equally love/hate male lead Ji Sung‘s character and can’t wait to see him both suffer for his selfish choices and ultimately … Continue reading →
I had an awful haircut once, much too choppy and short, and it was a most painful three months to even grow it to a semblance of normalcy in styling. Of course if I had on hand a hair stylist to tease and coif my hair every morning then perhaps it could have been made cute but other than stars … Continue reading →
I didn’t follow or watch the MBC drama Time hence it really was a out-of-nowhere surprise to hear that male lead Kim Jung Hyun was leaving the drama due to health reasons. Turns out a few weeks ago during the drama press conference he left a very negative impression with the press and media, so much so that he was … Continue reading →
It’s not unusual for top actors and actresses of the same generation to breach their onscreen rivalry for the same roles to a offscreen real friendship. A few come to mind that includes Lee Jong Seok and Kim Woo Bin, that they each costarred with same generation top star Suzy in success dramas validates their position of vying for the … Continue reading →
Some actors and actors take a long time to grow on me, and until that happens I’m quite dismissively flippant towards them. Seo In Guk is one of those where even after dramas I’ve loved such as Answer Me 1997 and The Master’s Sun he just doesn’t claw into my permanent opinion as a strong actor with charismatic presence. Then … Continue reading →
The OCN winter 2017 drama Black was so good and so dark and I’m thankful male lead Song Seung Heon‘s next pick is something that looks as fun and harmless as Player. He stars as the leader of a team of hustling thieves out to relieve other crooks of their ill-gotten gains. What a fun teaser, love the smooth one-shot … Continue reading →
