I hope the production of upcoming MBC Mon-Tues hospital-based drama Risky Romance spent all its money paying the cast salaries because it certainly didn’t spent any on production and graphic design. The drama stills were already rather flat but now the just released drama characters are just woefully bad. It’s like a kid in high school was given poorly photographed … Continue reading →
K-actor Park Seo Joon is riding super duper high on his career right now thanks to the hit rom-com Why Secretary Kim. Viewers are enjoying both the drama and his character so that’s a double win, not to mention being a first major ratings successful rom-com in god knows how many years when the mere mention of a drama being … Continue reading →
Bromance is alive and well in K-drama land as Gong Yoo sent a most adorable and perfectly Goblin-esque coffee truck to the set of Life starring Lee Dong Wook. The coffee truck was adorned with many banners and posters with snippy statements straight from the Goblin’s mouth to his bestie Grim Reaper. One says “Coffee, my treat first. 1:0. Who … Continue reading →
It’s a totally different main cast of three for the upcoming K-version of Absolute Boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi) but judging from the smiles and cheerful attitudes at the script reading the mood is certainly positive. Yeo Jin Goo will play the titular perfect boyfriend who happens top be a love robot, Minah is the girl who gets said robot and learns … Continue reading →
I’ve given Han Ji Min so much flack for her last drama that it’s only fitting in the drama karma sense to be feeling so conversely charmed by promos alone for her upcoming drama Knowing Wife (Familiar Wife). She looks so warm and carefree in these stills, I love the greenery in the background to make this drama feel alive. … Continue reading →
My memory of Shin Hye Sun has been stuck in those many years she played the annoying second female lead that I’m looking forward to her upcoming Thirty But Seventeen when she gets a chance to play the gamut of a leading lady who is 30 years old but has the spirit and memories of only being 17 years old. … Continue reading →
All I know about upcoming summer MBC Mon-Tues drama Risky Romance (Life-and-death Romance) is that it’s set in a hospital about the falling in love of a prickly surgeon and an emotional endocrinologist. That’s as broad strokes as legal dramas being about an underdog fighting the corrupt for justice. The drama stars underrated leads Ji Hyun Woo and Lee Shi … Continue reading →
The two main drivers are now in place as K-drama Boyfriend is a full go. Both rumored leads Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum have confirmed this week, with the drama described as a fated and sad romance between a from a rich family divorcee with a child and a scrappy poor man trying to make it in the … Continue reading →
We have another hit drama for prolific screenwriter Kim Eun Sook! Ladies and gentlemen, naysayers and soothsayers, the just premiered end-of-Joseon period drama Mr. Sunshine cemented itself as another successful work with the one-two ratings punch of its first airing weekend. Episode 1 got 8.852% ratings and episode 2 rose to 9.691%, the increase confirming that audiences are tuning in … Continue reading →
This dating rumor feels like a lazy reporting grasping at same place events to cobble together a post. K-ent is reporting that Han Hyo Joo and Kang Dong Won are dating, to which their agencies swiftly denied the random report. Apparently the dating news stems from the two being in the US around the same time this past May and … Continue reading →
The twins or lookalikes trading places conceit has already been done once this year with SBS drama Switch: Change the World in the prosecutor role and is going for part deux by the same network with increased odds in the judge position. Upcoming Your Honor (Dear Judge) has Yoon Shi Yoon playing the dual roles of diametrically opposite personality and … Continue reading →
The magic ratings touch of screenwriter Kim Eun Sook strikes red hot yet again. Her latest drama the 2018 cable network tvN period offering Mr. Sunshine premiered this Saturday with 8.852% ratings, and for comparison her last drama Goblin premiered also on tvN with 6.322% and went on to shatter tvN ratings records during its run. I’m really impressed with … Continue reading →
