Most Monet paintings look great from a distance but a mess of strokes and colors up close, and in the case of K-actress Shin Mina at this week’s Cartier brand event on Seoul it’s the opposite. The picture above is lovely as it focuses on her expressive and unique face framed exquisitely with a matching set of turquoise, dark blue, … Continue reading →
K-actress Ha Ji Won‘s short locks from last year’s K-drama Hospital Ship is growing out wonderfully and is a reminder that time keeps chugging along. This year she’s dealt with yet another family tragedy with the death of her actor younger brother Jeon Tae Soo, two years after their father’s unexpected passing. It would be normal for her to take … Continue reading →
I’m not surprised at all by this news and hope he doesn’t get a lot of flack from judgy K-netizens. Actor-singer Jang Geun Seok will be enlisting for his mandatory military service in two weeks on July 16th, serving two years in public service rather than active military service in departments such as the army, navy, marines, or air force. … Continue reading →
There is already so much makjang slathered on upcoming SBS weekend drama About Her it might be the reason the background color looks so grey and overcast in the teaser preview. While normally the love story between a plastic surgeon and his patient under the knife feels rather icky, this time Nam Sang Mi’s character goes for a full facial … Continue reading →
For those who want a throwback good time then check out recently completed J-dorama Hana Nochi Hare, the sequel to hit manga franchise Hana Yori Dango (Boys Before Flowers). I legit adore this story in both the manga (which I marathoned one weekend and need moar) and the dorama adaptation with fresh leads Hirano Sho, Sugisaka Hana, and Nakagawa Taisho. … Continue reading →
The race is on to find his wife for actor Ji Sung in the upcoming tvN drama Knowing Wife (Familiar Wife), which strikes me as sadly funny that he misplaced her to begin with. I think there’s a what if element about his character making a choice that leads to everyone’s lives being different, and this time around he appears … Continue reading →
Readying for the arrival of tvN period drama Mr. Sunshine, premiering this weekend now that Lawless Lawyer has cleaned up the lawlessness in Gisung city, feels apropos to post on the 4th of July. Will the fireworks of what is arguably the biggest budgeted K-drama ever filmed blow audiences away, or will it fizzle after the anticipation. The OTP poster … Continue reading →

It’s round two for Lee Min Jung and Joo Sang Wook to battle romantic wits again, and this time a different genre and with both leads married in real life since their first time working together. Lee Min Jung and Joo Sang Wook are confirmed for the late fall SBS weekend drama Fate and Fury, four years after they worked … Continue reading →
It’s time to celebrate for the cast of hit tvN weekend drama Lawless Lawyer, wrapping up its two month run this past weekend with new series high in ratings. The final three episode brought in ratings of 7.089%, 6.618%, and 8.937%, building steadily and maintaining the momentum from a successful premiere episode ratings just over 5%. This is a huge … Continue reading →
Whenever I have a bad hair day or even see someone with a bad hair day, I will think “at least it wasn’t Won Bin on July 2nd!”. The legendary, somewhat mythical, K-actor made a rare appearance at a brand CF fan meeting and gave the media and his fans something to talk about. It wasn’t the usual chatter about … Continue reading →
Some reports say confirmed and others say still in talks, so I’ll aggregate the two and say close to confirming if both names are still being bandied about. K-ent is reporting that upcoming romance K-drama Boyfriend has secured a time slot in the fall on cable network tvN, and the two leads Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum are … Continue reading →
This drama lead casting of same generational stars Ji Sung and Han Ji Min as a married couple embarking on an alternative do-over in tvN‘s Knowing Wife continues to look more and more promising. The second official poster following the same blue sky with glowing pinpoint lights flickering around the leads motif, but this time zoomed in whereas the first … Continue reading →
