I’m always amused by C-actress Angelababy and not in a condescending way despite her hilarious English name. She’s a hardworking and quite genuine star presence with a famous husband and a baby son already despite still looking insanely youthful. I think her acting is mostly awful but one doesn’t need to act well to succeed in C-ent and she’s proven … Continue reading →
I think recently married K-actress Choi Ji Woo just won the noona of the romance year award. On the heels of her surprise wedding last week to an non-entertainment industry husband, K-ent is reporting that said bridegroom is a tall and handsome worker in the IT industry who is in his early 30’s. Gathering that since Choi Ji Woo is … Continue reading →
An oddball pairing for sure but variety mastro Na PD certainly has a way of making the weirdest ideas into watchable television fodder. Park Shin Hye and So Ji Sub made their variety show pairing debut this week at the press conference for tvN variety show Little House in the Forest, where the two are sent completely off the grid … Continue reading →
There’s serious contention for the 2017 KBS drama Manhole (Wonderland’s Feels) for worst rated and audience received prime time K-drama in recent memory. The currently airing MBC drama The Great Seducer with Woo Do Hwan and Joy is a massive ratings disappointment and garnering horrible reviewers from viewers. Other than Joy and/or Woo Do Hwan fans I can’t imagine any … Continue reading →
This year has been a phenomenal start for K-actor Jang Geun Seok career wise. He was one of the celebrity faces of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, is currently starring in the ratings lead Wed-Thurs SBS drama Switch (Change the World), and this his alma mater Hangyang University revealed that he’s donated another 1 billion won to increase his donation total so … Continue reading →
Some things are better left alone even if it wasn’t done properly, especially if the second go-around is going to be even worse in a different way. The Cheese in the Trap movie with returning male lead Park Hae Jin with new costars Oh Yeon Seo, Park Ki Woong, and Yoo In Young has spent three weeks in the Korean … Continue reading →
Looks like the rumored wedding at the end of March in Bali wasn’t true as model Lin Chi Ling was in Dubai instead while the prospective groom Jerry Yan was still in Taiwan. That’s fine for us shippers hoping this reunited couple could make it a happily ever after the second time around when both are older and wiser. It’s … Continue reading →
Looks like the K-drama gods are going to make Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye a thing, at least fictionally onscreen as this is the second drama in a month that the two are in talks to star together. First came healing romance Fox Bride Star where both were courted, but he declined first and technically she’s still considering the … Continue reading →
The first teaser is out for upcoming KBS Wed-Thurs drama Suits and it’s as sleek and chic as my beloved teaser drama poster above. It’s not a surprise as the PD Kim also directed Healer, Good Doctor, Wild Romance, and the first season of Mystery Queen. He’s got a keen eye for stylish flair and visual contrasts. The drama is … Continue reading →
The ratings are out for the premiere weekend of jTBC romance drama Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food (Something in the Rain) and the cable network continues to deliver hits. The first episode got 4.008% and the second episode dropped slightly to 3.752%. Even better is the audience feedback is really enjoying this slice-of-life vibe with a real connection to … Continue reading →
I’m certain K-actor Lee Jun Ki‘s distinctive visuals and devastating personal charms may be illegal in some countries. I ended up making nnnngggg incoherent sounds when I saw this just released first stills of him in upcoming tvN legal drama Lawless Lawyer, trading his more typical cop characters for another justice fighter type. I love the throwback vibe of the … Continue reading →
Congrats to the casting director for long running variety show Running Man for earning a lifetime bonus and bragging rights by signing up what is the most incredible list of guests. The production team poster on April 1st today the list of future guest stars including top actor Gong Yoo, pop groups BTS and TWICE, idol-actress-CF queen Suzy, and the … Continue reading →
It’s normal for K-netizens to note when a celeb couple involves the male star heading off to military service soon. If it’s active service then the couple will only be able to see each other on furloughs and that’s naturally hard to keep the connection strong and the feeling ongoing. With that said, I sure hope the new couple of … Continue reading →
