The stellar cast of tvN‘s next Fri-Sat drama The K2 has assembled for script reading, but one pretty young face is conspicuously missing. Present for the table read is leading man Ji Chang Wook, making his K-drama return after the cult hit drama Healer, but his leading lady Yoona of SNSD was not able to attend since she had not … Continue reading →
With Uncontrollably Fond headed into the last arc of its run, my feelings for leading man Kim Woo Bin has finally settled on a definitive opinion. This drama is a slow simmering burn and has hit my expectations but not exceeded it. I was excited prior to its airing but controlled in that excitement because unbridled and unfettered enthusiasm is … Continue reading →
The K-media has been covering upcoming SBS drama Incarnation of Jealousy on from the promotional front but today turn it’s attention to leading lady Gong Hyo Jin‘s distinctive fashion style. In the compilation picture above showing her sporting six wholly different looks from the drama, it’s clear her character isn’t just going to be quirky or professional or poor or … Continue reading →
Those who read this blog know I’m not the biggest fan of Han Ji Min, which is an understatement during the trainwreck days of SBS drama Hyde, Jekyll, Me. Granted that not even the best thespian actress in the world could have made the horribly written leading lady character work in that drama, but Han Ji Min’s performance amplified all … Continue reading →
Looks like the full set of drama posters is now complete for the Korean adaptation of well known Chinese time-traveling period novel Bu Bu Jing Xin (Startling with Each Step). Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart: Ryeo will premiere on SBS Mon-Tues starting August 29th, and with it all these drama posters will get plenty of limelight and for that I’m mostly … Continue reading →
Taiwan actress Chen Qiao En is in the news a lot these past two weeks as an ancillary reference to two big star weddings. First, she was the bridesmaid in Michelle Chen‘s wedding to Chen Xiao. And secondly, she’s the ex-girlfriend to Wallace Huo‘s marriage to Ruby Lin. It’s all so reel and real mixed together, but I have a … Continue reading →
I gotta give Moonlight Drawn by Clouds visual team all the kudos for making this youth romance sageuk as pretty as a portrait. The first official drama poster is out and the colors, framing, and background are all top notch at conveying the heady scent of sweet romance. If Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung don’t convincingly sell the … Continue reading →
It’s double the good news today to start off August 17th in Korea – child actor turned leading man Yoo Seung Ho turns 23 years old (or 24 in Korean years) and he’s been offered the lead in an upcoming fantasy sageuk drama. He really remains so in demand, even after turning down the lead in MBC‘s upcoming The Man … Continue reading →
I’ve been wondering when the CF world would come knocking on the door of married acting couple Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young, and the first joint commercial hit it out of the park in terms of maximizing their appeal. The Ace bed company hired the parents of adorable toddler daughter Kwak Ji Yoo to hawk it’s line of super … Continue reading →
Another wonderful result of the hit tvN drama Another Oh Hae Young, in addition to Eric getting his long awaited drama comeback success, was the arrival on the big stage of popularity for long time leading lady Seo Hyun Jin. Even she’s been marveling at her newfounded fame, which comes after toiling away in the drama industry doing second leads … Continue reading →
My baby boy is back to drama land, yay! Young idol star Shin Won Ho of Cross Gene is the latest addition to the cast of SBS fantasy mermaid drama Legend of the Blue Sea. He’s definitely low on the name recognition and screen time totem pole for this drama which is boasting the star stacked leads in Lee Min … Continue reading →
It’s been over a decade and my love has never wavered, regardless of whether her drama or movie fails to resonate with me. I adore her emotive style and utmost professionalism, not to mention the steady stream of projects that show she prioritizes acting over just being famous and making bank off CFs. Her recent works have been less ratings … Continue reading →
Whatever SBS is trying to sell with Incarnation of Jealousy, I totally am buying on the strength of leads Gong Hyo Jin and Jo Jung Seok. This drama definitely looks more wacky than the most recent broadcasting themed drama Producers, which coincidentally also starred Gong Hyo Jin, but here she seems larger than life in ways that screenwriters are wont … Continue reading →
