It’s nice of these potential movie casting news to drop on the same week so I can bundle it into one post. I’ve noticed fans of one or both actors tend to bring their names up in each other’s posts so this ought to make things easier. First up is Kim Soo Hyun, recently named honorary ambassador for Incheon airport, … Continue reading →
I feel like a time machine whisked me back 5 years ago without me even realizing it. Despite another career hiccup earlier this year with his participation and then departure from the popular tvN variety show Three Meals a Day: Fishing Village, Jang Geun Seok doesn’t seem to be down in the least as he’s continued on with his singing … Continue reading →
Now this is a potential casting that looks good, smells good, and will likely taste good when the actual drama airs. SBS has lined up the next Mon-Tues drama to follow the currently airing dark comedy Heard it Through the Grapevine (which I love to pieces). It was initially called Chaebol’s Daughter but just this week got a name change … Continue reading →
I’m going to have to eat a full meal right before watching the upcoming tvN drama Let’s Eat 2, which premieres this coming Monday now that Ho Goo’s Love has ended its run. The drama held its press conference this week that felt more like a friendly chow down gathering than the typical meet-and-greet of drama promotional events. Starring Yoon … Continue reading →
What to do when your idol group has a comeback new album out, which happened to coincide with news breaking about your out-of-the-blue new romance with a high profile top star? How about slay ’em with candor, as Suzy just did in her first onscreen discussion about Korea’s fixation on her new relationship with Lee Min Ho. I find Suzy … Continue reading →
A little bit of a good drama goes a long way to lifting my spirits again. Like a parched throat getting precious drops of liquid, the first two episodes of The Girl Who Sees Smells (Sensory Couple) is just what my doctor ordered to recover from the recent drama beat down. This drama continues to be cute and sweetly simple, … Continue reading →
You’ll hear no complaints from me on the finalized casting of the upcoming Hong sisters drama. The two confirmed leads Yoo Yeon Seok and Kang Sora are both primed for their first major drama leading role, not to mention there is some snerky karma at work that they get paired together after their last second lead roles caused discomfiting ripples … Continue reading →
This is a two-fer bit of news to me though neither aspect surprises me when the entertainment world is all about remakes and crossovers. Park Min Young is experiencing a bona fide career resurgence thanks to her well-received performance in the cult hit Healer. The drama didn’t get sterling ratings when it aired but had quite a vocal online audience. … Continue reading →
I’m probably in the minority with how okay I am with this potential pairing, which just took one step forward in becoming a reality. Lee Jun Ki is confirmed to return to dramas this year with the fantasy sageuk Scholar Who Walks the Night playing the vampire scholar male lead. The drama has been in the works since late 2014 and … Continue reading →
It’s much appreciated for KBS to provide a complete news update on the casting status of upcoming high profile prime time drama Descendants of the Sun. The drama didn’t just confirm the two leads today, it went ahead and confirmed the second leads as well. For many folks this news is both a relief that casting is done as well … Continue reading →
http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae145/ockoala/K-dramas/tgb1.jpg The bar is set so low by the predecessor of The Girl Who Sees Smells (Sensory Couple) that this drama has to only be mildly watchable to be considered off to a good start. Thankfully Smelly Girl is everything I wanted and more, rendering my first impression verdict that this drama isn’t stinky in the least and has a very endearing … Continue reading →
There’s a new face and breakout star in MBC‘s currently airing Wed-Thurs drama Angry Mom, a feat in any situation but all the more impressive happening in a drama chock full of fantastic performances all around. Young actor Ji Soo, who plays high school thug Go Bok Dong, caught my eye in his very first scene in episode 1 and has … Continue reading →
I feel like this is the other shoe dropping, after hearing that Jin Se Yeon was planning a drama comeback sometime this year and then having all these casting issues with dramas since 2015 began. A news report claims Jin Se Yeon is in talks with the KBS production of vampire sageuk Scholar Who Walks the Night. The leading lady was … Continue reading →
