Score one for MBC on a little victory. When the bigger probability was complete abject failure, a victory however little is something the network must feel relieved about. Kill Me Heal Me premiered on Wednesday (don’t spoil episode 1 for me, I’ve yet to watch!) continuing the current trend of very few prime time dramas debuting in the double digits. Even … Continue reading →
A few weeks away from recapping Pinocchio only heightens my appreciation for how thoughtful this drama is in having a meaningful execution of the main conflicts. In so many ways, the romance is one of the sweetest I’ve watched, yet it unfortunately resides on the sidelines now because the righteous reporting narrative is just that compelling. It’s nothing to complain … Continue reading →
Ugh, someone get me some smelling salts please. And a fainting couch as well. Yoo Seung Ho‘s first post-military magazine spread is out courtesy of Grazia and it’s spectacular. I’ve liked the magazine since it did the incredibly beautiful and full of love wedding pictorial featuring Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young in Spain, and once again Grazia delivers European … Continue reading →
SBS may be lopping off one hour of drama airing on the weekend slot but the remaining hour remains to be filled with successive new fare. This past weekend premiered The Family is Coming in the time slot formerly occupied by Modern Farmer. Since it’s just a short for weekend 20 episodes, SBS has already confirmed the follow up drama … Continue reading →
Tomorrow is the first test for Kill Me Heal Me as it premieres to start off the 2015 K-drama year after a ratings dismal 2014 year for prime time dramas. The toughest competition in Pinocchio heads into the final few episodes which may leave an opening for audiences to migrate over to KMHM for something to pick up after Pinocchio … Continue reading →
It’s a treat to see so much synergy going on in Ariel Lin‘s red hot acting career and personal life. She took a sabbatical from acting for the past year to do a graduate program in London from which she recently graduated and put yet another successful venture behind her. Even without acting in any new movie or dramas in … Continue reading →
It’s wonderful to see Gong Hyo Jin pop up looking so radiant and rested. The last time I saw her was right after It’s Okay, It’s Love wrapped and she needed rest and recuperation for her arm injury and an emotionally grueling and physically taxing drama shoot. IOIL is one of my favorite K-dramas from 2014 and it’s finally hitting … Continue reading →
Kill Me Heal Me finally arrives this week after a production process akin to that recent news story of a family finding grandpa expired and was just about to bury him when he revived hale and hearty. I’m so ready for the fresh blood infusion so bring it on, 7 personalities and medical ethics boundary crossing and all! The cast … Continue reading →
I’m still happily watching the KBS hit weekend drama What’s with the Family but I’ve lost that feverish fervor for it. That invariably happens when following along with something so long running, not to mention a story with so many stages would be hard pressed to connect with me every step of the way. No knock on WWTF as it … Continue reading →
Some dramas are better watched than recapping as well as vice-versa. Pinocchio is the rare minority where I like both equally, it’s fun to watch live in the moment and the recapping yields tons of grist to mull over whether romantic entanglements or thematic progression. I was sad to end up skipping a few episode recaps due to time and … Continue reading →
The first new prime time K-drama out of the gate in 2015 is really starting off on the right foot by tantalizing with so many pretty drama posters. I get the impression that effort has been taken to portray a warm loving mood with Kill Me Heal Me and the results make me want to watch the drama more. That, … Continue reading →
When one is the It Boy its best to ride the wave while it lasts. I’ve personally adored young C-actor Li Yi Feng for many years now ever since he totally stole my heart in Sunny Happiness. My love for him isn’t even rocked by his admittedly chopping acting and usually bad taste in picking projects. Most of his dramas … Continue reading →
The popular C-novel Silent Separation (何以笙箫默 He Yi Shen Xiao Mo) is finally arriving on the small screens in the C-drama My Sunshine starring Wallace Chung and Tang Yan. The drama premieres January 10th and will hopefully capture the sweet longing love story of the fluffy original work. I think the casting the pretty spot on, especially with Wallace as … Continue reading →
