Drama Posters and Long Preview for School 2017 with Kim Se Jung, Kim Jung Hyun, and Jang Dong Yoon

Next Mon-Tues is the premiere of not just one but two new K-dramas so that’ll shake things up a bit. MBC will be airing sageuk A Kings Love, going up against the midway point of the earlier arriving sageuk My Sassy Girl on SBS, leaving KBS the outlier option as the network premieres the latest iteration of the well received School series. School 2017 went though a few bigger name leads possibilities before finally settling into a lead cast of three relative unknowns for the teen main characters.

There’s Kim Se Jung of gugudan (and formerly I.O.I) as the female lead with Kim Jung Hyun and Jang Dong Yoon as the two male leads. I’ve heard positive feedback on both newbie leading men, with Kim Jung Hyun in Incarnation of Jealousy and Rebel in supporting roles and Jang Dong Yoon from Solomon’s Perjury. The drama posters are nicely simple and the long 6-minute preview actually elicits the most interest for me so far, the acting from the kiddos is actually quite solid and ultimately every School outing has turned out to be worth watching.
