With K-drama ratings so woefully low these past two years, and probably starting the general downward spiral even earlier than that, it’s still worth taking a look at which actors and actresses are the current crop of ratings leaders. One can argue overseas popularity and dramas viewing numbers, but the K-advertisers still look to domestic set top ratings and for … Continue reading →
Fun K-drama casting rumors, more legit than random fan daydreams of “I want so-and-so to star in this drama”, are making the rounds to shake up this Wednesday hump day. DC is abuzz with two separate juicy casting reveals by a poster who has a great track record of casting spoilers that later turn out to be true. Even then, … Continue reading →
Today’s lesson comes courtesy of K-tabloid Dispatch – don’t piss it off otherwise it’ll act like a spurned mistress. After Dispatch rattled the mid-week hump with a breaking story about Pinocchio costars Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Seok secretly dating for the last four months, the two stars in question swiftly denied the report through their agencies and united on … Continue reading →

I’m starting to get impatient waiting for news on Lee Jong Seok‘s next acting project. My gut tells me it’ll be a movie since his last work was the drama Pinocchio. I still don’t know why that drama wasn’t a buzzier hit, it really had everything working for me from OTP chemistry down to a impactful fully developed story. It was … Continue reading →
Have you ever taken one look at a picture and the immediate visceral reaction is “Uhmmmmm, no.” Maybe not as intense as a “hells no”, but definitely eliciting the reaction of wanting to send the whole thing back to sender to re-conceptualize it all. It’s rather cute that good friends Lee Jong Seok and Kim Woo Bin recently got stuck … Continue reading →
It feels weird not having a Lee Jong Seok drama on the horizon now that it’s been five months since he wrapped his last drama Pinocchio. The 51st Baeksang Art Awards nominations came out last Friday and was by and large pretty decent on the selection of quality performances and works. Stickiness has long been used as yet another barometer to assess a drama, performance, or character. Some successes vanish soon after while other less immediate wins steadily remain for much longer. It’s hard to say which one is preferable, ultimately even the most sticky works fade from memory as the fickle audience mind continues to look to the latest and … Continue reading →

The magazine flew my two babies to London earlier this month for a photo shoot that is … Continue reading →
