I love seeing less buzzy dramas succeed on its merits and this summer of 2024 has a sequel that has become a hit just like the first season and now a third season has been announced. Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty 2: Go West is been a hit for streaming platform iQiyi and the first Douban ratings are out at an astonishingly high 8.4. This is the sequel to the original Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty aired in 2022 and with the second season doing so well iQiyi has announced production of the third season with the same cast to start shooting imminently to keep the momentum. Check this out if you want a spooky and detective themed drama that from all reviews is has interesting stories and good production.
