Lee Sin Young Steps Down from K-drama From a Distance, Green Spring Due to Scheduling Conflicts But Netizens Believe its Due to Bullying Allegations
The wide net of bully allegations against 20-something Korean actors/actresses and idols has another casting change though not openly admitted. Actor Lee Sin Young, most famous for playing the good looking reticent North Korean soldier in Crash Landing on You, will be leaving upcoming youth romance From as Distance, Green Spring adapted from the same name webtoon. The drama stars Park Ji Hoon and Kang Min Ah and Lee Sin Young was to be the other male lead. His agency has announced his declining the drama this week due to “scheduling conflicts” and the production said actor Bae In Hyuk is in talks to step in. K-netizens are not buying the scheduling conflict explanation whatsoever and note that last month in February there were allegations of school era bullying by Lee Sin Young which his agency denied. Guess it’s time to lay low now dude.

Understandable and best to err on the side of caution considering the current situation of Dear M (Park Hye Soo), Taxi (Naeun) and of course River (Jisoo).
As this drama airing in KBS,i think kbs had a background check for all their drama casting to avoid any problem like jisoo and park hyesoo had did. Any bad possibility need to be avoided.
I’m not surprised because this drama is being produced by Victory Contents, the same studio that is producing RWTMR. They want to be on the caution side.
He was already accused over being an iljin in Feb 2020 (around Crash Landing) but got “cleared” I think.
