The promos are really coming fast for upcoming SBS drama Now, We are Breaking Up, with just one week left before airing. Male lead Jang Ki Yong filmed and photographed all his promo activities in August before enlisting in the military so even the forthcoming press conference was already completed with the cast back then. This week Dazed Korea magazine published a pictorial featuring the two leads promoting the drama by giving us a front of camera and back of camera look at the fashion industry which is the setting for the drama. Female lead Song Hye Kyo fits the role of a established fashion head honcho but her success does emphasize the age difference with Jang Ki Yong’s photographer. This can be overcome with great chemistry but that I’m not feeling in these set of pictures in particular. They look more like two beautiful people assembled by the magazine for a photoshoot and just met that day. I blame the photographer more, there isn’t a lot of warmth in these images so that heightens the posed vibe.

I like the styling here for song hye kyo than the vogue one months ago. The Fendi clothes she wore here are edgy and suits her more. Jang Ki yong’s face looks so big in some angles or is it just because shk’s face is so small? Lol
I hope this drama delivers with the story line, script and strong female lead character. I cant feel the chemistry between them either. Im actually over the noona romance or may to december romance plot. But i will give this a try and watch a few episodes.

He looks like her little brother here. He usually looks older/manlier so not sure why they photoshopped him so much. I hope this drama has more substance and they don’t use the beautiful people and fashion backdrop as a substitute for a strong script.
JKY looked better with Hyeri. The age difference is glaring, though SHK looked amazing. JKY looked very boyish.
I don’t feel any sort of chemistry with their teasers too tbh but let’s see

This is a GREAT photoshoot. It looks more like an European editorial than a South Korean one. The duo shots are fantastic, the solo shots are less interesting.
Shk looks beautiful, her styling is amazing in this. But JKY’s head is weirdly big, this hair doesn’t work for him.
Song Hye Kyo looks good with any man and Jang Ki Yong is lucky to have a drama with her. They look good together and the teaser chemistry is insane. Afterall, SHY is very picky with her projects.
Yes but it would be nice to see her with a worthy leading man. Her last projects have all been with younger pretty boys – Jang Ki Yong, Park Bo Gum, Song Joongki, and her next one is also with a much younger actor. The last time she was with a dashing lead of similar status and her own age was Jo In Sung in 2013.
Jo In Sung was mentioned above and it would been perfect casting if he was the ML. Same level of intensity I suppose. Right now, JKY just looks bland. Sorry, still can’t see the romantic chemistry between SHK and JKY in the pics above, but let’s see how the drama goes.
I hope it will be good… The writers last project is quite good plus the director is major talent was also helped . We Will see with this one. Hope SHK will be fierce here…. I’m looking for something different potrayal than her previous potrayal.. SHK is now dare to make a drama with 19+ rating, though I’m not talking about movie here. Female lead character previous writers is quite grey .
WTH. is this a mom-son project? This ajumma isn’t tired of kissing scenes? kissing younger men…. she must like them and she likes them young, huh? Is that the reason why she keeps on choosing this type of drama?
I’d like to see her with a strong male lead . It’s not that young actors are bad, not at all, there a bunch of really good and great young actors ( Kim Min Jae, Yeo jin Goo, Woo do wan, Seo Kang joon,…) but even if she is beautiful , no one can deny that she looks older so working with actors as Lee Jung Jae, Jo In Sung, Gong Yoo , Kim nam Gil,Kim Kang Woo, Shin Sung Rok,….would be great . I would say the same if she was a male artist .
