So this C-drama has been bandied about for the last two years but the female lead has always been the same with Crystal Liu, one of the top actresses in C-ent and always an S+ first billing in any production. There have been various actors in talks for the drama Chang Ling with Wang Yibo and Allen Ren the most recent to star with Crystal, but now it’s back in the casting gossip news this week with a fresh do-over. The leads are reportedly Dilraba Dilmurat paired with Chen Zhe Yuan, so both new names attached to the project. This is a big female lead project similar to Dilraba’s other multiple lives revenge on cheating men drama but with that drama still in male leads casting phase it could be that she’s taking on Chang Ling first. Let’s wait and see.

Chen Zhe Yuan is a upcoming actor who has a pair of eyes that can talk and act. I enjoyed watching Hidden Love because he was suited for the role. He owned the character. I did not like The Princess and the Werewolf, I stopped after 5eps..
I am looking forward to his new drama… I dont watch Dilraba often dramas as I find her awkward to watch, I think I have only watched 3 of her dramas since her debut, and she was supporting cast in 2 of them. I find her better as supporting cast then lead actress. I dont think she actually have ability to carry a drama on her own…
But I will watch because I am curious how Chen Zhe Yuan will perform, hope I will not drop this drama mid way.
Agree with you on Chen Zhe Yuan but I’m not sure if he is more suited, looks more handsome in modern drama. As for Dilraba I enjoyed The King’s Woman but not anything after. She was more authentic in her acting before she made it big.
I feel Chen Zhe Yuan is better in modern dramas too but who nows…
As for Dilraba, I like her when she was playing supporting sides role. She can add spark to a drama but she cannot carry a drama as a lead.

Raba is more suitable for modeling than acting. Her recent Dior stills are fabulous. She looks stunning in all pink, beautiful and stylish. Among all her dramas, I only made it to finish You Are My Glory with skipping scenes.
I agree with you. She’s beautiful and I understand why she’s so popular, but doesn’t mean she’s the greatest actress out there.
I feel Raba acts better if she is given a role that has no pressure on her thus supporting roles suits her. I found her adorable in Diamond lover and Eternal LOve. With lead roles, the pressure is just too obvious.

I absolutely agree with u ,she is excellent at modelling than acting.
Not the most obvious pairing to be honest, but you never know how things will work out. I will admit that I prefer watching Dilraba on screen rather than Liu Yifei, so if the change in casting does happen, I will be checking this one out.

I’m sorry you feel the need to call someone’s acting trash and it may be a newsflash for you, but Liu Yifei is not a good actress. Dilraba may not be an amazing actress, but between the two of them I personally prefer watching Dilraba, because I personally find her presence on screen pleasant.

There is however no need to insult Dilraba or my personal opinion just because you have a different preference.
Raba’s project is always a hit or q miss for me. The same goes to CZY. But will always give it a try when it’s airing. Well, i wont say they dont suit each other like, bcuz my preference is so dynamic. I used to think, 2 beautiful people will make a great couple but when i watch one ep or two, i get bored. It happens recently with a popular drama leads by popular actor and actress.
both are hardworking and good actors. dunno what criteria yall are searching for but i do enjoy the works of both. if there’s any problem then it would be other factors
Would love to see them paired up, think they’ll have good chemistry as both of them were good looking & acts great. Looking forward that it will be Chen Zhe Yuan & Dilraba. Chen Zhe Yuan had always good chemistry to whoever he’s paired up with but I like the most with Zhao Lusi, as for Dilraba I love her chemistry with Yang2 & Leo Wu
