The power rankings in television C-ent has remained pretty consistent, the top male stars and the female stars split into the various flower groups, and with some branching into movies to level up. This year the 2024 Baidu Star Influence Power Numbers are out (百度影响力指数里艺人数据) and unsurprising the top male star is Xiao Zhan and the top female star is … Continue reading →
The buzz meter for Byun Woo Seok will likely peter out from current stratospheric levels after his drama Lovely Runner concludes next week. But he is striking while the iron is hot for sure and this week he will guest in the popular variety show Yoo Quiz on the Block. Doing a show like this is very crucial to show … Continue reading →
So one week is the gap with Joy of Life 2 before another big C-drama arrives. iQiyi has confirmed the release of Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact (the Yue Hong chapter) for this week on May 23rd. Starring Yang Mi and Gong Jun along with a massive cast of supporting stars and guest starring appearances, this is going to … Continue reading →
After the whirlwind March and April in K-drama land where Queen of Tears dominated, May has quieted down with just one buzzy drama. It remains Lovely Runner with Kim Hye Yoon and Byun Woo Seok, nothing else in recent weeks has gotten either ratings or buzz not Atypical Family, The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, or Chief Detective 1958. All this … Continue reading →
So the cancellation of C-actress Yuan Bing Yan after her tax evasion scandal is legit not a temporary one. The main reason was her fighting the charges and refusal to take responsibility after the initial issues arose and requiring the government authorities to spend extra time resolving it with her. Her fully filmed C-drama Love Never Fails with Liu Xue … Continue reading →
So my personal best slay at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival with the Korean and Chinese stars is currently K-actress Han So Hee. The more I looked at her white ballet gown paired with messy fishtail braid look the more I love it, it helps her makeup was perfect and her looks and figure pairs so well with the entire … Continue reading →
This drama is scheduled for 2024 but we’re halfway done with the year already and it hasn’t gotten a definitive date. My guess is by year end maybe as a holiday season offering. Netflix fantasy K-drama Everything Will Come True released script reading stills of leads Kim Woo Bin and Suzy and both are serving all the right visuals and … Continue reading →
I don’t think this K-drama will arrive by summer time which is a shame because it feels like a warm breezy romance from the synopsis AND I am in desperate need for a heart gripping OTP and romance after finishing Queen of Tears. Currently filming romance drama Love Next Door (Mom’s Friend’s Son) could hit that sweet spot, starring two … Continue reading →
It’s time for the K-stars to descend on the 2024 Cannes Film Festival and the first two are Han So Hee and Yoona. They walked the red carpet on the same day this Sunday and absolutely brought the classic K-dressing looks. Han So Hee was in a white dress and Yoona in a pink dress, colors that are favored among … Continue reading →
This casting and drama was first rumored towards the end of last year in December 2023 and now is back on the front burner getting ready to confirm and start filming. The C-drama is called The Gift of Magic (Chinese title 极盗者 Ji Dao Zhe) and is a republic era setting with mystery, thriller, and of course magic. The female … Continue reading →
So this is the opposite of a C-drama getting cast and having lots of good or bad buzz thanks to the leads. I’m thrilled for the main cast because it’s all stars that are solid and acting and don’t come with too much fan and online baggage lol. The C-drama One Hundred Thousand Crazy Flowers into Dreams 十万狂花入梦来 based on … Continue reading →
The 2024 Cannes Film Festival kicked off this week and has many more days left of movie screenings and accompanying red carpet star walks. The HK-director Peter Chan helmed period murder mystery She’s Got No Name starring Zhang Zi Yi is on deck in the coming days and the female lead will definitely be there. Earlier it was stated that … Continue reading →
So I’ve been amazed at how male lead Luo Yun Xi has looked in all the BTS filming pictures of him in one ostentatious costume after another for the xianxia C-drama Shui Long Yin. But now that the filming has wrapped and the production has released the first set of official character posters and BTS filming preview, I gotta say … Continue reading →
