I dig this pairing, I dig this pairing very very much. The marketing gurus over at Acuvue-brand contact lenses tapped popular young actors Song Joong Ki and Han Hyo Joo as the new endorsement couple for it’s line of eye products. When Acuvue’s deal with Lee Min Jung expired, like all endorsement deals smartly need to freshen up its image … Continue reading →
The Park Shi Hoo rape investigation continues to wallow in absurdity as it nears 7 weeks since the incident in question occurred on February 15th. There are new developments hence this post, but nothing definitive in shedding more light on whether it was rape or consensual sex. Alleged victim A’s now-former friend B has officially recanted everything she said in … Continue reading →
This is probably my last post on the Park Shi Hoo rape case in the near term until the police investigation wraps up, which the Western Police Station has stated that it will do in the next two months. Once it wraps up the investigation, its findings will be transferred to the Seoul prosecutor’s office and the prosecutor assigned to … Continue reading →
With the Park Shi Hoo rape investigation dominating the entertainment headlines in Korea, and for good reason since its like a circus freakshow crossed with a very badly written makjang weekend drama mixed with a CSI rip-off, yet another really alarming police investigation and scandal has reached an apex this week. Since early February police in Seoul have been investigating … Continue reading →
Talk about fact imitating fiction and becoming truth. In what might have been the seemingly most random coupling in 2013 behind Rain and Kim Tae Hee, singer-actor Yoon Kye Sang and former Miss Korea-turned-actress Honey Lee are in the confirmed early stages of a relationship. That would make Yoon Kye Sang public enemy number one of most men in Korea, … Continue reading →
The he said/she said/everybody else said rape investigation that has been dominating the K-ent headlines continues to roll along on its own like a muddy snowball. The lie detector test results from Park Shi Hoo, alleged victim A, and third party involved K, has been expedited and come back to the Western Police Station. The police have commented that the … Continue reading →
This true story celebrity friendship is just too good not to share. C-actress turned director Zhao Wei (Vicky Zhao) made her directorial debut last week as she celebrated her 37th birthday while making the rounds promoting her new movie So Young (Literal title is To the Youth that is Fading Away) adapted from the popular novel of the same name. … Continue reading →
If ever there was a public appearance by a celebrity who looks like death warmed over, that would be Park Shi Hoo being photographed as he went to the police station yesterday for his second interview. This summons was not for him alone, both A and K were also summoned and appeared as well. All three were summoned to undergo … Continue reading →
I’m sure some folks must be wandering if all the updates I’m bringing on the Park Shi Hoo rape case is made up. It’s not, because if I were to make things up, it surely wouldn’t be the baloney and hogwash that has been coming out of the case over in Korea steadily for the last three weeks. In case … Continue reading →
I’ve been bemused by all the cascading developments in the Park Shi Hoo rape investigation not because its a funny matter but the sheer outlandishness of the seemingly unending media warfare between the two sides gives new meaning to one-upsmanship. It feels like the moment A’s side drops a bombshell, Park Shi Hoo’s side returns a volley and it’s the … Continue reading →
So the current legal proceedings stands at this nearly three weeks after the shocking news broke that unknown victim A reported that Park Shi Hoo allegedly raped her – (1) Park Shi Hoo is being investigated by the police for alleged rape, (2) Park Shi Hoo has sued the alleged rape victim A for blackmail, (3) Park Shi Hoo has … Continue reading →
Hey peoples, there’s even more insanity going on in the Park Shi Hoo rape investigation. At this point, I would be surprised when and if everyone shuts up and the case is diligently investigated and thereafter quietly settled or litigated. Either way, I think muzzles are in order for everyone from A to Z. The text message wars continue as … Continue reading →
Da hell is this sideshow turning into? After a veritable alphabet soup of parties involved in the Park Shi Hoo rape investigation ranging from A to K, now there is yet another person speaking out on the case. SERIOUSLY? People need be shutting up here is all I can say. Alternatively referred to in the media as Park Shi Hoo’s … Continue reading →
