So I heard about this two weeks ago when the scandal first broke but since I don’t follow C-pop I didn’t realize how big it was because I didn’t know how popular this young star is. Idol-singer Cai Xu Kun (Kun) was named as the young top star who had a one night stand with an underage young fan and … Continue reading →
If the biggest tax evader in C-ent history in former top actress Fan Bing Bing is allowed to make a comeback, albeit overseas, then I don’t think it’s impossible for the other actor/actress tax evaders to one day return. Former leading man Deng Lun has been MIA for one year four months after he was cancelled post a tax evasion … Continue reading →
I’ve probably covered two cycles of East Asian entertainment with how long I’ve blogged so there is dating, breakups, marriages, kids, divorces, re-marriages, and deaths in various combinations. Of course in recent years also add scandals leading to cancellation. Anyhoo, TW-ent reported last week that married stars Blue Lan and Jade Chou were recently spotted at the government registrars office … Continue reading →
What a shocking news to wake up to and it just brings me back exactly 20 years in 2003 when news broke about Leslie Cheung’s passing. Hong born and America raised singer superstar Coco Lee (Lee Wen) has passed away as confirmed by her two older sisters in an official announcement. She was 48-years old and took her own life … Continue reading →
Well this looks like justice at least has a chance of being served. This week TW actor-singer Aaron Yan went in for 4 hours of police questioning for his role in the recording of a sex tape with his then boyfriend. According to the now ex-boyfriend, he did not consent and he was also underage at that time being 16 … Continue reading →
It’s been that long, huh? And yet it also feels like a flash of time. This June 30th was the 13th year of the passing of K-actor Park Yong Ha, a leading man with over a decade of acting under his belt and many famous performances and dramas on his resume. His passing was one of THE most shocking and … Continue reading →
Well this isn’t quite Me Too even if it’s true and more about the reveal that a top actor may be a man whore in real life. Not sure yet of course if the reveals are true or even who it it about but a recent anonymous post on during this TW-ent Me Too phase about a top actor last … Continue reading →
Well this one is not going down easy either way. The recent Taiwan entertainment Me Too allegations have either been admitted to quickly or denied by the star then leaves the industry, the most recent against basketball player turned producer/variety show host Blackie (Blackie Chen) has been met with denial from him and now him and his wife together have … Continue reading →
Taiwan entertainment’s Me Too revelations from last week continue on and the one involving singer-actor Aaron Yan will have additional ramifications it appears. His accuser the TikTok star Yao Le (Raku) updated his SNS today that he went in to give his statement (to the authorities) and everything will await a formal legal investigation. His accusations against Aaron include unlawful … Continue reading →
The occasional Korean manner leg picture comes my way and I always take note for my collection and for the chuckle. It never gets old as a moment when the camera pulls back and we see the proverbial wart, or widely splayed leg, behind the perfect facade presented by Korean entertainment. Returning stars from my first post on this topic … Continue reading →
So the victim accusing singer-actor Aaron Yan of sexual assault when he was just 16/17 has outed himself as popular TW Tik Tok influencer Yao Le who goes by handle Raku. The accusations are that Aaron dated him when he was just 16/17 years old and during that time Aaron secretly made sex videos when Yao Le specifically told Aaron … Continue reading →
So my first and only reaction is “yes?” before moving on to the next article. But I guess in K-ent this still makes a story especially when there is no confirmation. This week a so-called entertainment industry insider claimed that Park Seo Joon was a taken man and dating a very young and quite popular South Korean Youtuber going by … Continue reading →
Well this is A LOT to digest here. After Chris Wang was accused of sexual harassment and assault and admitted it, a day later a woman accused a top TW-variety show host of forcibly kissing her many years ago when she was just in college and later inviting her to take pictures for his photo exhibit which later he pressured … Continue reading →
