SETTV held a press conference today for its big-budget idol drama Channel X (the Chinese title is 國民英雄, with the direct translation being Citizen’s Hero). The lead actor and actress made their grand debut, and the world got to see the first stills and teaser trailers for the drama starring Joe Cheng and Amber Kuo.

They started dating 20 days ago.

It’s slated to be a twelve episode drama, and at thirty-minutes each, this is really a light and airy little cream puff of a love story. Everyone, and I mean everyone, has been talking about the … Continue reading →
Chinese actor Hu Ge and I: we are buddies. No, I don’t actually know him, but my affection for him as an actor and an entertainer is that of a good buddy. I think he’s a very solid actor, and continuing to improve with each successive project.
Continue reading →I am not a completist when it comes to fangirling someone I like onscreen. So when one of my favorite actors comes out with a new project, I am not always guaranteed to even check it out. I’m weird like that. I have to be in the mood and it has to call to me. So when I heard about … Continue reading →
Vic Zhou (Zai Zai) is sequestered in China filming the upcoming cross-border big-budget period epic drama Coming Home. It’s a closed set, but that’s a piece-of-cake for the Chinese paparazzi to breach. Zai Zai might as well give up and smile for their lenses and give a thumbs up.

I’ve already discussed Joe’s new drama, X Channel, with Amber Kuo (though I just found out its being helmed by the director who did Summer’s Desire – which was a steaming pile of dog feces … Continue reading →
I wasn’t planning on following or posting about the upcoming TW-drama Material Queen, but the first stills were released yesterday and I found them quite pretty. Mind you, the cast and story are still not all that enticing to me, but these stills are too visual eye-candy not to share.
Continue reading →The rumor has become a fact. Yesterday GTV held a press conference for their upcoming Taiwan idol drama Absolute Darling, a live-action remake of the manga Zettai Kareshi, starring Wu Zun and Gu Hye Sun.
Continue reading →One of the more higher profile Taiwan dramas of 2010 has passed the mid-way mark in its airing. Zhong Wu Yen aired episode 11 yesterday, and whether the drama ends up being 14, 17, or 21 episodes (TW dramas lengths are notoriously hard to pinpoint), it has aired more than enough for me to make a substantive assessment of its … Continue reading →

It happens to all of us, trust me. Which is how I ended up watching some seriously awesome B&W MVs on Youtube.
