Ooooh, me likey very much. The first teaser preview is out for the upcoming SBS alien-actress K-drama You From Another Star. Starring current It-leading man Kim Soo Hyun and movie actress Jeon Ji Hyun, the story revolves around an alien who has been living on Earth for 400 years and in the year 2013 is living the life of a … Continue reading →
Yet another satisfying episode of Heirs/The Inheritors, though not much happened and it did get bogged down in the things least interesting such as Chairman Daddy’s strong arm fully coming down on Won, Tan, and Eun Sang. He’s going to manipulate everything until his entire family fractures, and he will still think he’s doing the right thing. Frankly I don’t … Continue reading →
It’s onwards we go as Fall wraps up and so does the slew of Fall K-dramas that have run the gamut from unexpectedly interesting to shockingly terrible. MBC currently has a win lock on Mon-Tues with Empress Ki which will run into Spring of 2014. But the network must be dying to retire Medical Top Team from the Wed-Thurs timeslot … Continue reading →
Good gracious who picks Lee Min Ho‘s outfits in Heirs/The Inheritors? It’s been mostly a non-stop fail party since episode 1 with the only decent one being his school uniform. He gets the most screen time as the male lead, and so does his consistently headscratching outfits that range from down right fugly to perplexing. This one for the upcoming poignant … Continue reading →
LOL forever, what new fanservice weed is Kim Eun Sook smoking this week? Did she mistake Kim Woo Bin for his character in Friends 2 and decided to merge his currently top grossing movie with his currently highest rated Wed-Thurs drama? The new stills are out for tomorrow’s episode of Heirs/The Inheritors and looks like Young Do has magically turned … Continue reading →
Just two more episodes left of Marry Him If You Dare (Mirae’s Choice) before this drama puts everyone out of their misery and releases me from any obligation to watch and recap its mind-numbing dreariness. This is a drama for the dead of Winter, when there is nary a green speck outside and the world is cold and dry and … Continue reading →
Kim Jae Wook has always been a very low key star and sometimes I have to fairly dig for information about him. Part of the reason is that he splits time between Korea and Japan, and also between acting and his indie band gig with Walrus. He wrapped up the tvN cable drama Who Are You two months ago and … Continue reading →
What the #!@& is going on here?!?! Has Marry Him If You Dare actually gone insane? I doubt it since episode 13 was sensible albeit romance-deprived, but then why do we need to see Park Se Joo take his ridiculous and completely one-sided feelings for Mi Rae all the way to the end and propose to her and waste everyone’s … Continue reading →
This isn’t going to come as a surprise to folks who read my last post about he upcoming KBS drama Age of Feeling (Inspiring Generation) but it’s a relief to have confirmation either way. Second female lead Kim So Eun has dropped the drama due to scheduling conflicts, what with the drama pushed back almost 3 months from its initial … Continue reading →
Marry Him If You Dare (Mirae’s Choice) wants to make me love it again. It knows my weakness for cute stuff and it throws Yoon Eun Hye along with Keroppi and My Melody on my screen to see if I can overlook the lack of bubbling romance. I think if I do forgive MHIYD for the weak middle section, episode … Continue reading →
The first drama preview is out for Prime Minister and I which is premiering in two weeks after Marry Him If You Dare (Mirae’s Choice) wraps up. The drama already released two teasers featuring leads Lee Bum Soo as the nation’s youngest Prime Minister and Yoona of SNSD as a tabloid reporter. In those teasers, each got ready for a … Continue reading →
Lots of viewers complained about Yoon Eun Hye‘s frizzy perm sported by her character Na Mi Rae in the early parts of Marry Him If You Dare. She cut and straightened recently and I’ve a mind to say the spectacular swan dive of this drama may be correlated to her hair. I honestly have no real analysis for why this … Continue reading →
Looks like the media tent city at Incheon airport I was talking about was erected like I anticipated as tons of Korean media outlets awaited the return of current entertainment It-couple du jour Moon Geun Young and Kim Bum. The Goddess of Fire co-stars grew close while filming the drama and started dating as the drama wrapped. Not content to … Continue reading →
