This was probably the weakest episode of Two Weeks to date, coming across more like a spinning in circles hour of set up, though it did end on a humdinger of a cliffhanger so that makes for an interesting wait until next week. I think it’s safe to say that I am enjoying and appreciating the heck out of Two … Continue reading →
I don’t know why I bothered, but over the Summer I read Dan Brown’s latest Inferno and it was as painstakingly researched as his prior hits like The Da Vinci Code but equally as soulless as the follow up to that The Lost Symbol. The man is a talented gripping writer for sure, but he’s sunk to the depths of … Continue reading →
I find Yoon Eun Hye’s popularity, which is equally strong from the love versus dislike camps, quite a fascinating case study. I can post about Yoon Eun Hye picking her nose and there would be double the comments, split between she picks it so well or she’s an overrated nose picker who always picks the wrong nose. I hope everyone … Continue reading →
Can a CNBlue fan tell me from which cabbage patch Kang Min Hyuk came from? Because this boy is seriously cute and I just want to pinch his cheeks to see if he’s real. But he also has this underlying masculine charisma that cuts a bit of the cloying boyish charm, which will all come in handy in his role … Continue reading →
This episode starts the pay-off part of Two Weeks, whereby all the early set backs endured by our haggard but intrepid protagonist starts to turn the tide and he becomes pro-active rather than just re-active. Yes, episode 11 starts off with the Very Important Camera getting snatched, which I pretty much expected since the drama would end right here if … Continue reading →
Insane drama casting say WHUT? I’m sorry but I can’t even wrap my mind around this upcoming drama concept and definitely not the pairing. Let me get the good out of the way first – Lee Bum Soo is returning to dramaland! Super yay. It would be an exclamation but for the big BUT in this casting – his leading … Continue reading →
Watching The Master’s Sun requires me to pick apart the ingredients like a kid separating the peas from the carrots from the pot roast and just eating the items that taste good. With the exception of the truly abysmal L, TMS has rounded up a nice collection of guest stars ranging from Jin Yi Han to Jung Chan to Seo … Continue reading →
Kim Woo Bin. First official stills from The Inheritors (the new English title for Those Who Wear the Crown, Withstand the Weight: The Heirs). Enjoy! What? I guess I need to write a little bit more, huh? What do I think of the second rich chaebol heir from the drama to make his appearance? Kim Woo Bin looks great, but … Continue reading →
The wonderfully gripping Two Weeks continues to roll right along and the good guys are starting to line up behind Jang Tae San rather than merely trying to capture him. Jae Kyung and Seung Woo know he’s knee deep in a even bigger criminal matter, while In Hye finally clear up her misunderstanding of why Tae San cruelly dumped her … Continue reading →
Episode 14 of Who Are You was overwhelmingly boring, probably purposely so to set up the great reveal at the end when puppy Gun Woo finds hot comatose oppa Hyun Joon laying in some hospice. Tossing logic out the window, this was one twist that delivered the emotional punch, and actually threw uncertainty back into the narrative mix. Why was … Continue reading →
I can’t quite wrap my mind around how much I love watching Who Are You vis-a-vis how good it is. It’s not very good but its a very easy and enjoyable watch, with the emotional threads nicely developed whether its the friendship and partnership between Si On and Gun Woo and definitely the relationship between Si On and Hyun Joon … Continue reading →
A day after the upcoming SBS drama Those Who Wear the Crown, Withstand the Weight: The Heirs (Heirs or Heritors) released the first official stills from the drama, which featured leading lady Park Shin Hye washing dishes in a grungy ceremonial hall kitchen as a part time job, this time the production flips the switch completely and introduces male lead … Continue reading →
This drama is complete and utter rubbish. MBC should be embarrassed to even put this dreck on the air, much less be flayed for wasting the talents and involvement of such a stellar sageuk cast. If this drama gets any year end awards or any mention whatsoever for recognition, whether for narrative quality or individual acting, I will mutter an … Continue reading →
