Earlier this year I watched one episode of Dream High 2 and I ran away screaming. I was horrified that the second season of the original Dream High could turn out that bad, and I came to that conclusion a good 15 episodes earlier than those who stuck around and ended up totally disgruntled with the entire story and the … Continue reading →
I’m out folks! Strangely I’m not upset or anything, probably because I knew it was inevitable plus I got plenty of happy beforehand so it was all worth it. This weekend’s May Queen finally drove the wedge between Chang Hee and Hae Joo with his discovery of his father’s role in her birth father’s death (and not even that his … Continue reading →
How did this happen? One minute I was drinking a nice Red and the next minute I was sobbing like a loony after watching one (1!) measly Bu Bu Jing Xin MV. What the hell? Seriously? After all this time BBJX still manages to tap into a visceral id inside me that the mere hearing of a theme song, or … Continue reading →
Awwwww, this picture is just ridiculously adorable. Poor Megan Lai is strung up like a Christmas turkey dangling from the roof, while Chao Chun Ya chats on the phone and enjoys the show, Roy Qiu points out the obvious but does nothing to help, and Puff gasps in shock at her handiwork. It was a quiet week in terms of … Continue reading →
It’s fashion time, baby! Despite finding awards shows completely inaccurate in predicting quality, I enjoy it solely for the pretty. It’s a chance for stars to dress up and be unashamed of their extraordinary natural or enhanced prettiness and just be as superficially pretty as possible. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever. This week the 2012 Busan International Film Festival kicked off … Continue reading →
I’ll strike while the Miss Rose iron is hot, dropping the preview for episode 11 following my recap for episode 10. I think between Si Yi and Cheng Kuan, it’s not a surprise that he’s going to be the one to take the first step. She’s not only once bitten twice shy when it comes to love, she’s also facing … Continue reading →
It’s so easy to step into a drama and tell the character how they ought to behave. Those who have been cheated on ought to stomp on the cheater when he returns and then turn around with a flip of the hair. Those in love with one person but committed to another should just end things and move on to … Continue reading →
When I said I was yet to become obsessed about Nice Guy earlier this week, when only six episodes had aired, I am now officially obsessed with this drama after watching episodes 7 and 8. Those two episodes were killer awesome in taking me deeper into the characters and more importantly, making the characters dig deeper into themselves and make … Continue reading →
I find it such a cosmic coincidence that my previous post on Ha Ji Won was about her doing a CF for a bank that had her wearing a stunning one-shoulder evening gown at some awards show where she was caught practicing her swing during the downtime. I mentioned that her swing was legit, as all golfers can spot those … Continue reading →
It’s nice to watch a drama film under the radar without being crammed full of big-name stars or idols since the expectations lessen considerably, though it does make it difficult to obtain as many goodies without the enthusiastic fangirls scouring the earth for any tidbit of news. The upcoming cable network jTBC drama Can We Get Married is premiering on October … Continue reading →
Booyah! This episode was simply da bomb. I just love the post topping screen shot of Maru and Eun Gi in episode 8 of Nice Guy. The way they sit next to each other, not arm-touching-arm but with a distance that is closer than just friends. The way they both look out towards the ocean, the way his bruised and … Continue reading →
While watching the thrilling episode 8 of Nice Guy, I was so immersed into the drama that I clear forgot the red carpet of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) was being laid out and the stars were descending on the sea side town to light it up with glitz and glamour. If I have time I’ll do one of my … Continue reading →
My anticipation for King of Dramas with Kim Myung Min and Jung Ryeo Won is one of calm hopefulness. While neither the cast nor the story sends me into a tizzy, conversely nothing turns me off this drama in the slightest. Since I’m also not watching Faith, looking forward to KoD means that Faith will soon be done and … Continue reading →
