Happiness! Completely unexpected out-of-left-field kind of happiness. Fresh off his romantic deja vu leading man turn in Operation Proposal, Yoo Seung Ho has already picked his next project. It’s a fantastic choice considering resume, which is that he’s famous and seasoned enough to be a leading man, but still so young that it wouldn’t hurt to take unique roles to … Continue reading →
Where’ve you been, PIE? I’ve been missing your cuteness on my screen since I ran away screaming from Man of Honor after enduring for almost its entire run. I won’t blame you, but I do sense a trend now. You do one fabulous drama and follow up with one craptastic one. In that case, I’m due a good drama next, … Continue reading →
As much as I tried to keep pace with my translations, clearly something has to give now that a certain drama has exploded into a pocket mania around here. Plus Tong Hua decided to throw what might be one of her longest chapters ever at me, hence chapter 21 is getting split into two parts. It’s either that or you … Continue reading →
Wait for it……and now the other shoe drops. Tangren touted loud and clear four months ago that Bu Bu Jing Xin 2 was a go with the same cast but set in a modern era, back then I was innocent and trusting and believed everything they said. Forget no contracts were signed, no script was written, and some nebulous August 2012 … Continue reading →
Raise your hand if you’ve been here with me since the beginning. You know, when we sailed the non-boating waters of the adorable Playful Kiss, when we railed over the insanity of attempting to off Jang Geun Seok in the schizo and chemistry-laden Mary Stayed Out All Night, when we braved the withering disdain over even daring to like the … Continue reading →
In the world of the never-ending crossovers, it’s time for K-boybands to collide with TW-boybands. Vanness Wu, formerly of F4, collaborated with Junho of 2PM for his latest single “Unbeatable” (also called Invincible), which is the theme song for Vanness’ latest drama Ti Amo Chocolate. The drama is terrible, but this song rocks so hard I even hum it in … Continue reading →
I am pretty much speechless right now. I seriously did not expect this. A lot of dramas are too ambitious in the beginning and toss the kitchen sink at us, only to let many plot threads lapse or putter to a sad pointless conclusion. Most of the time that doesn’t bother me too much, though I do notice it like … Continue reading →
I watched this episode of The King 2 Hearts alternatively fist pumping the air and then doing the Snoopy dance of joy from time to time. So satisfying, the most delicious meal after a long hard day’s work, followed by a tall icy brew of perfection. Once again the story barrels full steam ahead, with an assassination attempt, a rescue, a … Continue reading →
Hubba, hubba, hubba. Let’s all collectively fan ourselves, shall we? If I try to go back into the annals of my K-drama watching history, it might be accurate to say that Ha Ji Won was my first K-drama lady crush. The drama was What Happened in Bali, and I watched that sucker three times in a row. Yes, I was … Continue reading →
Okay, this is like Christmas came early…..but then you didn’t quite get the present you were hoping for. It’s not a disappointment per se, I simply need some time to process this and wrap my head around it. Song Joong Ki FINALLY gets his leading man role in a prime time drama, and it’s so meaty I could weep in … Continue reading →
The King 2 Hearts DAEBAK!!! Lee Jae Ha, you are slowly but surely earning your penance. I approve. I had an epiphany today while driving to work. I finally figured out the modus operandi and symbolic purpose behind the cartoonish villain of Kim Bong Goo/John Mayer. I’ll explain in my thoughts later, but oh boy does it suddenly all make … Continue reading →
Pretty, pretty, pretty. Yoon Eun Hye being oh so pretty when photographed is nothing new, and her latest endorsement pictures for Cartier continue her trend of always bringing it to any photo shoot. She’s modeling the relaunched Juste Un Clou collection, which if you look closely is a nail wrapped around into a bracelet. Cartier is my favorite jeweler and … Continue reading →
Have some new stills of the return of Kim Hang Ah, North Korean special forces operative trained to kill Lee Jae Ha on sight. I can’t wait to see Hang Ah dust off her fighting skills and use it with Jae Ha to kick a certain crazy lunatic back to whence he came from (hell?). What’s more exciting than these … Continue reading →
