We’re T-minus 7 days away from the premiere of Lie to Me. Okay, I’ll admit it now, this is in fact THE May drama out of the six new offerings I am most excited about. What? It’s Yoon Eun Hye + Kang Ji Hwan, two of Korea’s most charismatic and down-to-earth actors. It was a neck-to-neck battle with Best Love for the … Continue reading →
After a whirlwind two weeks since the premiere of Drunken to Love You, I think I’ve finally settled down. As the drama continues to get better and better, I conversely continue to mellow out in my appreciation for this joyfully crafted story, learning to savor the beats and go with the flow. I think I can survive this live-watch now, … Continue reading →
Taiwan is the place to be right now, IMO, with four different idol dramas concurrently filming that I’m really looking forward to. One of them being Extravagant Challenge with Super Junior’s Lee Donghae and Choi Siwon paired with Ivy Chen in the drama-adaptation of the popular manga Skip Beat. Ivy was photographed wearing a chicken suit yesterday on the set with … Continue reading →
Best Love hasn’t even premiered yet, but its follow-up drama You’ve Fallen For Me with Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa is continuing with its pre-production, and has confirmed its two second leads. Going older and more experienced, the drama has cast Song Chang Ui as a music director at the university where the leads are students in the … Continue reading →
I can’t believe we have another week before Lie to Me premieres. I am so ready for this drama. I’ve translated the character descriptions for the main four leads. Frankly, everything reads so simplistic, predictable, and trite (with elements of every single rom-com in existence). YET, I cannot wait to watch it. I think this drama will live and die … Continue reading →
I decree that one can’t possibly welcome Summer without the requisite Moon Geun Young photoshoot for Basic House. Bringing you the latest pictures with Won Bin for BH Korea, and also her latest solo pictures for BH China. You know, if I were to critically analyze Geun Young, she really just looks like an older version of her child actor … Continue reading →
These two are absolutely precious together. Jung Il Woo and Kim So Eun, who have been photographed together frequently in recent days after they were selected to represent JIFF (Jeonju International Film Festival), gave a joint interview to 10 Asia this week. Accompanying the interview are these lovely pictures, which are just elegant and effortless.
Continue reading →I have to admit that as much as I adored Mike He and Janine Chang in Sunny Happiness (one of the best OTPs ever, with incredibly rich co-star chemistry), I don’t actually ship them in real life, nor am I fixated on their characters and unable to move on. But that doesn’t mean I’m not all wistful again whenever I see … Continue reading →
Do my eyes deceive me? *rubs eyes* Nope, that is in fact Joe Cheng posing for…..Hello Kitty. I suppose stranger things have happened, but once I got over my extreme shock at the incongruity of it all, I suppose two of my favorites together is always a good thing. It actually wasn’t just Joe – he was paired with Sonia … Continue reading →
I’m like a chipmunk, I can be busy doing someone important, but the second I sniff one of my obsessions, I immediately drop proper work like a hot potato and toddle off to happily waste time. Which was how I ended up spending an entire night happily watching Yamapi MVs and missing the Akira-incarnation of Pi like mad. Pi was … Continue reading →
I’m curious as to why GTV is so secretive about confirming the news, but long-in-development TW-drama Absolute Darling started filming yesterday, according to various Weibo updates from actors working on the drama. Lead actress Gu Hye Sun has been in Taiwan since last week, which further confirms the news. As for which actor is stepping in for departed Wu Zun? … Continue reading →
I’m clearly not the only one worried that TTV is releasing extremely detailed written previews for Drunken to Love You. Some folks wonder if this will affect the ratings, which I think highly unlikely. Anyone desperate enough to scrounge for a written preview will probably watch the episode. My worry is how knowing so much of what will happen will … Continue reading →
MBC presented a nine-minute preview for Best Love at yesterday’s press conference, and I’m here to bring it to you. A fair word of warning – please don’t watch if knowing too much tends to ruin the enjoyment once the episode proper airs. I think this drama has a potential to be brilliant, but the 9 minute preview is very … Continue reading →
