In addition to being Taiwan’s child actor du jour, Xiao Xiao Bin shall henceforth also be known as “the exclusive child to F4”. Having already played Vanness Wu’s son in Autumn’s Concerto, as well as Jerry Yan’s nephew in Down with Love, the much-too-adorable kid is adding a third F4 daddy to his resume (the most coveted F4 daddy if you ask me) by … Continue reading →
Can’t say I’m surprised by this news – Wu Zun has officially dropped Absolute Darling, the TW-drama adaptation of the manga Zettai Kareshi, co-starring Gu Hye Sun. Apparently GTV is furious, but Wu Zun’s publicist lays the blame on the repeated delays by GTV to start production, as well as a consideration that Wu Zun wasn’t right for the role … Continue reading →
Wow. That’s my first and last impression on the ladies gracing the pages of the May edition of Cosmopolitan Korea. All the pictures are sexy, evocative, yet never trashy (unlike its US counterpart, which I only read when I have no other alternative while stuck at my nail salon). Bringing you Gong Hyo Jin (whose pictures stand in such sharp contrast … Continue reading →
If you asked me to fantasize about an uber-delicious K-actor doing a particular activity in a drama that would make me swoon – Lee Min Ho riding an elephant in Thailand would NOT be on the list. In fact, said scene would be banned from my list, because it’s just weird, not to mention totally random in the context of … Continue reading →
Okay, maybe we’re really on a roll here with 49 Days, because the preview for episode 11 was freaking awesome. Forward plot momentum, please don’t die on me or roll backwards like Sisyphus. This is the first time in 10 episodes I am actually excited about the upcoming episode, and I couldn’t be happier. I also am back to luuuurving … Continue reading →
Tee hee, this picture is SOOOOO ridiculously cute. Best Love released the first official couple still of Gong Hyo Jin and Cha Seun Won. Between anticipating this and Lie to Me (not to mention watching TW-drama Drunken to Love You), I feel like I’m floating in a weightless chamber of bliss. While I think Cha Seung Won’s top star look and … Continue reading →
One episode in and I am totally in love with Drunken to Love You. This might be a new record, or else I’m getting easier with age (probably the former, since my crabby nitpicky mood towards many dramas recently negates the possibility of the latter). DTLY is magical, wonderful, sublime – a rom-com that can be crass, whimsically funny, and … Continue reading →
Newsflash – Rainie Yang and Joseph Chang’s Drunken to Love You episode 1 premiered at a 2.98 ratings (comparatively, Sunny Happiness has been the ratings champion for 8 weeks straight averaging only about 1.60 in ratings). I think we have a new crack TW-mania drama, folks – but can it break Fated to Love You‘s 10.91 all-time ratings high? With … Continue reading →
While episode 10 of 49 Days really was the best episode to date, I don’t want to get my hopes up that episode 11 will continue to be so dense in plot movement. With that said, I love Ji Hyun’s growth as a character, from the dense and frivolous, albeit truly kind-hearted, girl in episode 1 to this steely and … Continue reading →
Earlier this week I brought the first official stills of Yoon Eun Hye in Lie to Me, yet it somehow felt incomplete. That’s because without her co-star Kang Ji Hwan to complete the tableau, Lie to Me just feels like a three-legged chair. I was worried the drama would keep him under wraps until its premiere, but thankfully the production has a … Continue reading →
Sunny Happiness, currently the #1 Sunday night TW-drama, isn’t about to take its rating’s crown for granted. Mike He and Janine Chang attended a Sunny Happiness fan meeting yesterday, which coincidentally was the night before the premiere of Drunken to Love You. When asked if he was worried about the upcoming competition, Mike pooh-poohed any such worry, saying that DTLY … Continue reading →
Today saw the premiere of the SETTV drama Drunken to Love You. Below I’ve brought the three songs that appeared in the first episode, and all three songs are immediate and utter love for me (I’ll talk about episode 1 later, but the fact that I am posting about this drama’s songs should indicate what my feelings are). The opening … Continue reading →
While I may not be interested in Romance Town, it could very well be the dark horse in the Wed-Thurs battle. Frankly, I know better than to bet on ratings winners, I much prefer to lay my chips on which drama I expect to enjoy the most (BestLoveBestLoveBestLove). More stills have been released from Romance Town, including the first official look at … Continue reading →
