Well….I did not see this coming, but I don’t feel all that shocked by it. Spoilers for episode 7 of Dream High after the jump, with new pictures about the show case participants that may give some of you a hissy fit. For me? I think it raises the stakes all around for the main characters, and creates more in-depth … Continue reading →
SO. ADORABLE. I spent this afternoon reading, with the world’s silliest grin on my face, a fan-fiction done by a Baidu netizen called Xiao Mao, who postulated what would happen if Kang Mu Gyul were to meet Hwang Tae Kyung and write songs for him to sing. Yup, the what-if story is pretty much as cute as the concept – … Continue reading →
Yay, the video preview for Dream High episode 7 is out! Boo, because it’s way too short, and has way too much Baek Hee for my taste. But it ends with glimpses of Sam Dong and Hye Mi doing a duet, and angtsy Jin Gook dancing a dance of pain and taking off his shirt. Can DH get any better? … Continue reading →
While going through my oppa files recently, I made a belated connection that the girl he was paired up with when he was the spokesperson for Mind Bridge, a Korean preppy clothing line, was actually Kim Hyo Jin! I was floored, because I found that model actress totally gorgeous and charming at that time. Which was NOT what I thought … Continue reading →
King of J-entertainment KimuTaku (Kimura Takuya) has settled on his 2011 J-dorama project, and it’s a doozy. Something this large in scale and scope, the 60th anniversary drama for TBS, only one man has britches big enough to carry the show. And he’s bringing 19 huskie dogs along with him! KimuTaku’s next dorama will be a TV-version of a true … Continue reading →
I do like other actors other than Moon Geun Young and Jang Geun Seok, I swear! Even though it doesn’t seem like it right now, but my My Princess recaps and soon-to-come-spazzing about Dream High should dispel any misconceptions about any inability on my part to let Mae Ri and Mu Gyul go and move on to other dramas and … Continue reading →
As promised, bringing you all a cute video for week’s end. It’s a mash-up of the Geun-Geuns from one of their earlier movies (and when I say earlier – I mean when both of them still had their baby fat). This MV comes courtesy of EJ from Stellar Fandom, who spliced together 18 year old Moon Geun Young from her … Continue reading →
Obsession – thy name is Dream High. Who knew that in the span of 24 hours and 2 episodes, namely this week’s episode 5 and 6 of DH, I would go from kinda liking this drama (as per my post last week), to full-blown-I-need-moar-of-this-crack utter and complete love for this deeper than it looks high school drama. The worst news … Continue reading →
Now this is what imma talking about, drama! Episode 6 of My Princess was back to being totally awesome, not just sometimes awesome. Along the same vein, I’ve finally crossed the line from theoretically loving the pairing of Hae Young-Seol to feeling personally vested that this couple gets together. Yes, I’ve finally put my heart into this drama, unsurprisingly right … Continue reading →
Additional pictures are beginning to come out from Moon Geun Young and Won Bin’s Basic House Spring 2011 ad campaign. Moon Geun Young looks the very definition of a “pretty baby” above, and I get the sense that the couple shots are going for more preppy and casual. However, Moon Geun Young’s individual shots below appear to channel flirty and … Continue reading →
The best part of the finale episode of Secret Garden for me was Son Ye Jin’s totally random but utterly adorable cameo. If this means she’s next on the hit list for a Kim Eun Sook drama, so be it. I keep reminding myself, I love City Hall, and enjoyed On Air. It can be a win-win situation. What was … Continue reading →
As a whole, episode 5 of My Princess was rather a letdown from the bubbling high of episode 4. Not to say it wasn’t a solid episode, but it felt more like another set-up episode leading to the transformation of Seol and Hae Young into pupil and tutor relationship going forward. I feel like this drama almost comes to a … Continue reading →
The written preview for My Princess episode 6 makes it clear that we’re headed into reluctant-diplomat-tutors-a-princess territory. I love makeover and etiquette hijinks. I have to admit that this drama lives and dies on Seol-Hae Young interactions. I watched episode 5, and everything peters out whenever the two of them are not together. But when they are together, it’s magically … Continue reading →
