Jesus, at this point tvN is just minting money via CFs thanks to Queen of Tears. The network announced a few weeks past that after the finale weekend it would air two special episodes in the following weekend. Fans hoped for added scenes and whatnot, actual new stuff, but it turned out to be interviews of the leads and bloopers. … Continue reading →
So there are reunions, and then a three-union already for these two is pretty lol. Cheng Yi has accepted his next drama titled Fu Shan Hai as a top billed male lead in a guy centric wuxia period piece that will start filming soon. This week word on the street is that the female lead may be a pretty unknown … Continue reading →
So this drama casting is a done deal so I won’t pooh pooh it beyond saying I also wish the male lead was another actor. The main casting is done for K-drama To My Harry (To My Hye Ri) which will star Shin Hye Sun, Lee Jin Wook, and Kang Hoon. It’s about a female broadcast announcer with DID (dissociative … Continue reading →
There is a new modern workplace romance C-drama soon to start filming and the leads are a good surprise for me. Zhao Lu Si and He Yu are the likely leads for Perfect Lobbyist (完美说客) which is of course as the title suggests set in the world of corporate and political lobbying. Zhao Lu Si is clearly looking for something … Continue reading →

I said it earlier and agree with netizens that this is as best a chance as any for widely acclaimed actor Namgoong Min to finally get his Baeksang Arts Award Best Actor trophy to take home. This year’s nomination for My Dearest is his 4th nom in 8 years after Remember, Good Manager (Chief Kim), and Hot Stove League. It … Continue reading →
Oh I love this new addition so much! K-ent is reporting that veteran actor Yoo Jae Myung has joined the cast of K-drama Knock Off (I’ve also seen it anglicized as Nock Off) which has already announced Kim Soo Hyun as the male lead. It’s a black comedy about the counterfeit market hence the title, and for Kim Soo Hyun … Continue reading →
So this is totally not the fault of the actors but on the writer and production team for keeping this concept in the movie. The just premiered C-movie Formed Police Unit starring Johnny Huang and Wang Yibo has already generated controversy as moviegoers who watched the film have screenshotted and circulated a scene of the leads in blackface and dreads … Continue reading →
Reportedly this project was Cheng Yi‘s agency rewarding him big time for re-signing his contract with them. The actor just wrapped Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Sword and Beloved, the third chapter of the drama adaptation of the popular games and anime, and without time off he’s gone into the filming set for period wuxia drama Fu Shan Hai (赴山海). The production … Continue reading →
Well this is certainly a casting for those who love super tall guy teeny tiny girl onscreen couples, case in point Byun Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon in the currently airing Lovely Runner. Lee Se Young and Na In Woo are in talks for an upcoming MBC romance drama Motel California, and beyond the title and the potential leads … Continue reading →
So one good aspect of producer Yu Zheng being a mega hype artist for his own dramas is that he is on top of sharing new promos. Two new stills are out for the period C-drama Lin Jiang Xian (formerly A Fox in Hengmen) starring Bai Lu and Zeng Shun Xi and both look so much better and less uncanny … Continue reading →
Last week on April 22nd a new C-drama premiered the Tencent modern romance Will Love in Spring (春色寄情人) starring Li Xian and Zhou Yu Tong adapted from a novel. Neither of the leads are liuliang or buzzy search stars but still this drama was getting pretty strong pre-airing interest due to the age-appropriate coupling and the general promos making the … Continue reading →
The first promos for sci-fi movie Wonderland have been less than wonderous but having such a stacked cast still makes it worth checking out. The youngest leads are Park Bo Gum and Suzy who play a couple who meet again through an AI generated simulation. The movie is billed as dreamy and heartwarming, with Park Bo Gum able to generate … Continue reading →
