I remember wondering where Hong Ye Ji popped out from to get the female lead role in the KBS sageuk drama Love Song for Illusion with Park Ji Hoon which aired earlier this year. Reportedly the drama was a hot mess so I skipped it but heard the general consensus was that she was really not cut out to be … Continue reading →
Ooooohhhhh I really like this! In one month we now have had three actors in talks for the period C-drama The Brocaded Tale of the Girl Si and the last and final is definitely my fave of the three. First there was Alan Fang, a great choice but not guaranteed since he’s not a big enough name. Then came Chen … Continue reading →
This has been a super popcorn filled story and actually started two months earlier. During lunar new year the C-movie Article 20 directed by Zhang Yimou and starring Lei Jia Yin, Ma Li, and Zhao Li Ying was released to great reviews and high box office. All good right? Not really, as the success of the movie was marred by … Continue reading →
C-ent insiders are always saying that the disgraced stars will still be fine even after getting cancelled by the Chinese government after scandals mostly tax evasion but sometimes cultural/social missteps. Even ones that don’t ever come back like Zheng Shuang or Li Yi Feng or Deng Lun will have lots of money stashed away already, homes purchased, and side hustles … Continue reading →

So C-actor Lin Geng Xin‘s love life reputation in C-ent is pretty established, he’s a serial dater but not a cheater, basically a perennial bachelor lady’s man who is always in a relationship but won’t commit long term. I remember some doe-eyed drama watcher asking a big wig C-tabloid whether there was a chance that Zhao Li Ying and Lin … Continue reading →
