K-actor Yoo An In seems to be content staying in movies and it’s currently a new renaissance in Chungmuro thanks to the global level success of Parasite. Up next for Yoo Ah In is likely to be the supernatural thriller movie The Hell by the director of Train to Busan. It’s based on a webtoon by the author of Awl … Continue reading →
On principal alone I want this movie to succeed. The upcoming Disney live action version of its animated Mulan starring Crystal Liu (Liu Yi Fei) is a story about a strong Chinese folk heroine starring a Chinese actress and directed by a female director Niki Caro. The two ladies grace the cover and pages of The Hollywood Reporter magazine while … Continue reading →
Time really does lessen any scandal and none more notable that the relationship of award winning South Korean director Hong Sang Soo and his muse and girlfriend K-actress Kim Min Hee. When their cheating scandal erupted three years ago, all the attention and castigating was against him for being a husband who cheated on his long suffering wife and her … Continue reading →
Daaaaaaang, this was the shot to the heart I needed to start the anticipation countdown for the biggest K-drama of 2020 – Kim Eun Sook‘s newly penned fantasy romance The King: Eternal Sovereign with Lee Min Ho in their second collaboration together after Heirs. That high school frothy confection was stupidly addicting, I can rewatch anytime and enjoy the cheesy … Continue reading →
The travel industry has been massively impacted by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus Covid19 since the beginning of January and honestly if I didn’t have any pressing need I wouldn’t travel either, why take the risk. I figure K-ent travels to and from South Korea will drop as well and it probably has so maybe the paparazzi stationed at … Continue reading →
There’s been so much blowback on the source material webtoon that will be adapted into the K-drama Convenience Store Morning Star (Convenience Store Saet Byul) that I curiously glanced and it and erm it’s totally not my tea. Not sure how he’ll keep that … Continue reading →
The US movie 17 Again was surprisingly good and I can totally see K-dramas doing so much more with the longer running time that I’m excited for this upcoming remake. 18 Again has confirmed leads Kim Ha Neul and Yoon Sang Hyun as married couple in their late 30s when a pending divorce leads the hubby to a chance return … Continue reading →
There are so many late winter/early spring K-dramas that are banking on the pairing of young visuals actors and actresses to create chemistry and sell a story. Upcoming tvN romance A Piece of Your Mind (Half of a Half) feels like the story won’t be nearly as important as how leads Jung Hae In and Chae Soo Bin bring their … Continue reading →
I totally forgot there was a drama coming up where idol-actor L (Kim Myung Soo) was playing a cat who transforms into a human. He’s the human version, of course, though I totally want to see the cute white cat used in the drama as well. He’s starring opposite Shin Ye Eun in the KBS drama Welcome based on a … Continue reading →

The average ratings for the entire run was 18.4% which is high nowadays for prime time dramas and … Continue reading →
