Consider me cautiously optimistic for upcoming K-drama Beauty Inside, adapted from the drama with a gender twist. This time it’s female lead Seo Hyun Jin who changes forms rather than the male lead in the movie, and she’ll be romancing Lee Min Ki so the production team definitely went for acting ability when casting. The drama version set up sounds … Continue reading →
The brotherhood of the original and best drama adaptation of Bu Bu Jing Xin (also known as Startling With Each Step or Scarlet Heart) adds another to the married brethren, much to my pleasure as I just want each and everyone to find lasting happiness unlike their characters in the drama. This time it’s 8th Prince played by Kevin Cheng, … Continue reading →
I skipped the recently concluded prime time K-drama Are You Human Too but from the small but vocal viewers who loved it perhaps it’s worth diving in for a marathon. Consider me surprised since I always thought K-netizens didn’t like Seo Kang Joon, I’ve always enjoyed his potential even from the early days of Suspicious Housekeeper to What’s With My … Continue reading →
Cable channel OCN has really cemented itself as a legit player in the K-drama industry with a slew of hit shows that focus on the thriller or procedural genre. It’s branching out of the existing K-drama airing time slots to launch a new broadcast on Wed-Thurs nights, leading off with the religious and supernatural tinged detective procedural called The Guest … Continue reading →
K-actress Song Hye Kyo used to rep Laneige for many years but she’s now the face of Sulhwasoo, a more mature skincare brand with a higher price point that features Korean herbs. If she actually looks this way because of the skincare I wouldn’t just buy it to put on my face I’d drink the elixir but sadly she’s just … Continue reading →
It is hot as Hades right now where I am and seeing this latest pictorial with Suzy for sportwear brand K2 my core body temperature actually spiked 10 degrees instantly. She’s all bundled up in huge puffy down coats that are perfect for the Arctic right now and nowhere else in the Northern Hemisphere. I don’t know how Suzy can … Continue reading →
I’m still in a good mood with Song Seung Heon‘s last drama Black, I loved both the drama and his swaggering and sensitive performance as the Grim Reaper turned reluctant cop. I’m glad he’s sticking with procedural dramas rather than go schmoopy romance and up next is another OCN drama called Player (former Pan and prior to that Hustle). It’s … Continue reading →
Looks like Coca-Cola is bringing in the big guns, namely putting top boy group BTS and top young actor Park Bo Gum together for a new summer beverage CF. The shoot was poolside with a throwback vibe courtesy of Park Bo Gum’s bright yellow old school Coke t-shirt setting the mood. I love this pairing because it feels so synergyistic … Continue reading →
A new fashion trend could be established with foliage, vegetables, and spices as confirmed by what noted fashionista C-actress Gao Yuan Yuan is wearing this week. She’s not being outre without reason as her leafy cabbage mermaid gown with hot chili pepper neckace is for a PETA photo shoot promoting vegetarianism. It’s better than the I rather be naked than … Continue reading →
It takes just one picture to remind me wholly completely and 100% without reservation that K-actor Won Bin still has the IT factor that made him a top actor in South Korea with probably the least amount of acting projects on his resume. Won Bin is in a new CF for an outerwear brand modeling the SK favorite giant down … Continue reading →
The promotional seems to be compacted for the thriller K-movie The Negotiation, the posters came out yesterday and today the movie holds its press conference in preparation for a September 2018 premiere in theaters. The movie is clearly a two-person show, with male lead Hyun Bin playing the ultimate baddie arms dealing hostage taker matching wits with Son Ye Jin‘s … Continue reading →
The weird and creepy vibe is on full display in the latest set of drama stills and 3rd teaser for KBS drama Lovely Horribly. If done right in the script and directing, this drama has a shot to be worth watching with a fresh narrative even if leads Park Shi Hoo and Song Ji Hyo may not be everyone’s cup … Continue reading →
The long wait is over the return of one of my fave K-actresses so imma hoping 2018 brings back the other as well, if not in a project that airs this year then at least news that she’s picked her next role. Moon Geun Young has been in recovery mode for the past year every since her health scare in … Continue reading →
