It’s unfortunate that the PD of upcoming KBS drama Lovely Horribly had to make such an inappropriate and insensitive comment during filming because learning about it adds another layer of pall over the proceedings. The drama marks Park Shi Hoo‘s first return to prime time drama land since the 2011 drama The Princess’s Man, with his later drama Cheondamdong Alice … Continue reading →

The list is subjective of course but I’m always curious to see if the populace views beauty how I may perceive it. The 2018 list of 30 Top Korean Beauties of All Time and I foresee debate over the top 2 position, from whether either lady deserves to be there and whether their ranking should be switched. The number 1 … Continue reading →
The fantasy K-drama Tale of the Gyeryong Goddess has got an English title of Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter which sounds rather incestuous if you ask me considering the romantic narrative of the tale, lol. The ailing in ratings rom-com genre got a much needed heart restart this year with the success of Why Secretary Kim, and last year the somewhat rom-com-ish Strong Woman Do Bong Soon was also a much needed jolt. It’s probably K-drama karma that the exceedingly well-dressed onscreen drama cast of just finished tvN drama Why Secretary Kim exited their roles and promptly fell on their fashion faces in real life. I can’t say I’m sad about this even though I adore baby boy Wu Lei (Leo Wu) and this is such a high profile project for him. The summer 2018 big budget Chinese fantasy movie Asura was billed as a six-year movie in the making with the biggest cost ever at $113 million USD and when something flies so high … Continue reading →
