I’m cautiously optimistic for upcoming OCN thriller drama Player, formerly called Hustle and then later Pan, and regardless of the earlier titles has confirmed the initially discussed leads Song Seung Heon and Krystal. The two leads will be playing members of a gang of four skilled at finding and extracting ill-gotten gains from criminals, i.e. stealing from the thieves. Directing … Continue reading →
Going to a couture fashion show means free models for the brand’s clothing and free publicity for the stars donning said threads. It’s a win-win except for when the clothes look awful and for TW actress-singer Rainie Yang at the Louis Vuitton resort and cruise collection fashion show in France this week it was a successful pairing. I loved Rainie’s … Continue reading →
Boy would I Iove a gorgeous blue bouquet in hand when I get off a flight, but then again it’s probably a welcome reserved for the likes of top star Song Hye Kyo who was welcomed with media intense arms when she arrived in Hong Kong this week. She’s traveled quietly overseas with husband Song Joong Ki and those airport … Continue reading →
Oh man, the J-dorama version of Good Doctor may be the third to arrive at the party but it’s just smashed the casting squee by pulling back the curtains on the roles outside of the casting of Dorama It Boy Yamazaki Kento as the male lead. Kento will be joined by Ueno Juri as the female lead and Fujiki Naohito … Continue reading →
I’m not sure young actor Yeo Jin Goo is getting all the right casting advice, but then again he’s still so young and so talented that doing whatever fun role he wants may not have lingering repercussions at this stage. K-ent is reporting that Yeo Jin Goo has signed on to be the robot in the upcoming K-adaptation of Japanese … Continue reading →
The cameras be rolling over in Spain for the upcoming fantasy romance drama Memories of Alhambra, with a cool name and even better casting of leads Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye. Cal them overrated or not suited for each other, I think both deserve their fame and work diligently to improve their craft while remaining accessible to fans with … Continue reading →
Well done, Kai! High end couture is naturally rife with super weird creations and confections more for the artistry than wearability. EXO’s main dancer Kai is definitely savvy to generating buzz because he picked at outfit for this week’s Gucci resort collection show in France that is guaranteed to elicit commentary. He’s wearing a Gucci oversized plaid suit with old … Continue reading →
Casting is complete and filming has started for the next MBC Mon-Tues drama on the slate, with the network going back to the tried-and-true medical genre its so fond of. Risky Romance (Life-and-Death Romance) will star Ji Hyun Woo and Lee Shi Young as a surgeon and endocrinologist, respectively, and will also reunite the two leads from 2010’s drama Birth … Continue reading →
Watching a C-drama requires taking some antacids and mentally prepping for endless cups of frustration. Even that doesn’t seem to be enough for those who watched recently aired romance Here to Heart, adapted from a novel so the story line should be all set but the drama nopes it ways into “dog blood” (i.e. makjang) territory anyways. Starring Hans Zhang … Continue reading →
The K-drama gods are readying to remake one of the classic J-doramas that cemented Kimutaku as not just a pretty face but can also act his pants off. And now the production has assured itself that acting from the Korean counterparts won’t be a problem as the leads are confirmed to be Seo In Guk and Jung So Min. Please … Continue reading →
It’s moments like this I really feel old, and I don’t mean geriatric but more like the acceptance of yet another generation has arrived to make its mark on the world. Japanese superstar Kimura Takuya‘s youngest second daughter has debuted under the stage name Koki, landing the cover and pages of Elle Japan in what is clearly her famous lineage … Continue reading →
I’m not sure how the brain trust casting came up with this name but apparently K-actor Yoon Kyun Sang is considering joining Kim Yoo Jung for the webtoon adapted drama Clean with Passion for Now. I like Yoon Kyun Sang lots and maybe one day he should work with Kim Yoo Jung but right now it feels so weird and … Continue reading →
Whether you like Jung Hae In or not, and I am curious to see among the readers who likes him now, the young man has made it in terms of popularity and star branding. In the monthly poll of top CF stars, which has been dominated by Gong Yoo for the last year and a half, and prior to that … Continue reading →
