The apple didn’t even fall from the tree, or if it did then it looped the heck up around and landed back on top because that’s where newly debuted Japanese teen model Koki is at in one short week. Since Elle Japan published the pictures of top Japanese actor-singer Kimura Takuya’s second daughter Koki’s high fashion pictorial (real name Kimura … Continue reading →
With this week’s premiere of a new Mon-Tues drama, the gang is set for the coming few weeks in terms of dramas airing and with it comes a sense of ennui and low ratings. I’ll call it the 7-6-5 group as Partners for Justice is averaging 7%, Greasy Melo (Wok of Love) rose a bit this week to 6%, and … Continue reading →
I’m trained to accept that my favorite male actors have to serve nearly two years of military duty and be away from the screen during, but the hiatus of an actress rare nowadays especially when married ones keep on working and even the mommy ones come back after maternity leave. It really makes Yoon Eun Hye the outlier in taking … Continue reading →
The K-drama Good Doctor has stayed in the news cycles for the past year thanks to a successful US show adaptation and again now as Japan prepares to remake it into a J-dorama. The screenwriter really hit it big with the GD script and now has announced his next project a police procedural with a religious element called Hot-blooded Priest. … Continue reading →
K-actress Kim Go Eun is starting to trend as a sensible dress who also looks good. Case in point her casual but perfectly put together airport outfit heading to the Chanel fashion show, and now this coral brick peach flowing dress number at the press conference for upcoming movie Sunset in My Hometown. It’s her first movie in two years … Continue reading →
This drama setup actually sounds interesting in that K-drama fated and full of coincidences sort of way, and yet the casting just grinds it all to a near halt for me. The next KBS Mon-Tues drama premiering in early August will be Lovely Horribly, following Are You Human?. It’s described as a scary elements romance, with a top star played … Continue reading →
The summer is upon us and so starts the filming for upcoming fantasy romance with a light fairy touch that is Tale of Gyeryong Fairy (Gyeryong Goddess). Starring Moon Chae Won, Yoon Hyun Min, Seo Ji Hoon, and Goo Do Shim, the drama takes the legend of the fairy with the lost wings and adds a modern twist. Moon Chae … Continue reading →
I feel like the production of upcoming tvN Wed-Thurs drama Why Secretary Kim really knows the goldmine it has thanks to the casting. The overflow of cute promos featuring the pretty of female lead Park Min Young and the handsome of male lead Park Seo Joon is quite obvious but I’m not complaining. The drama premieres this week and even … Continue reading →
It’s so awkward to watch singer-actor Yoochun formerly of DBSK and JYJ resume his public events two years after a very messy and public accusation of rape and subsequent revelations of his salacious personal life. A requirement for star appeal is the public persona projects that fans like and that is impossible to maintain once the curtain falls to reveal … Continue reading →
It’s been a rough 2018 for K-actress Ha Ji Won but life goes on and I am so so happy to see her out and about at a brand event in Seoul this week looking absolutely drop dead gorgeous. She lost her younger brother actor Jeon Tae Soo earlier this year from depressed induced suicide and took a few months … Continue reading →
This is one remake that I have confidence will do justice to the original, if only because of the leading man attached. Filming has started on the C-drama remake of Misaeng, itself a popular Korean novel which was adapted into an even more popular K-drama starring Im Shi Wan and Lee Sung Min as the male leads. The C-version male … Continue reading →
The Hallyu superstar that is Song Hye Kyo was already bright presence at the airport arriving in Hong Kong, she’s added some hair extension and two different outfits for the subsequent Omega watch event. She went for a white shirt black skirt combo for the store visit, and later changed into a black short A-line dress to meet the press, … Continue reading →
This is one hilarious morphing drama and casting, and the genesis feels like a screenwriter can’t decide on an entire drama concept and we’re publicly witnessing rough drafts getting balled up and tossed aside. The SBS drama known as People of Incheon Airport, which was formerly called Fox Bride Star, is now back to being called Fox Bride Star. But … Continue reading →
