Filming has quietly begun on upcoming KBS drama Descendants of the Sun, with the two leads Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki spotted filming in Seoul this week. The drama will be almost entirely set overseas, but the filming location will be a bit in Seoul (standing in for overseas) with mostly a location shoot that hasn’t yet been revealed … Continue reading →
Not every celebrity selfie is equal, and the adage is probably the more the merrier as solo shots can come off a bit self-absorbed. That’s why the Running Man casts selfie with recent surprise guests Song Joong Ki, Jo In Sung, and Im Joo Hwan are the very definition of total wins. The giddiness is through the roof at the … Continue reading →
June 13th is a happy day for K-ent married star couple Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung as they welcomed the arrival of their first child, a healthy little baby girl. I feel like it’s been forever since Lee Bo Young announced her pregnancy, mostly due to so much going on with her husband Ji Sung’s career during the time … Continue reading →
It’s probably safe now to assume that the upcoming K-version of In Time With You will be completely different than the original. I didn’t love the original so it’s fine with me, but I think those who did might want to skip The Time I Loved You unless one goes in with an open mind with the wholesale reinvention. I’m … Continue reading →
I’ve waited a long time for this comeback, probably as much as I anticipate the next drama return for my favorite actor or actress. Screenwriter So Hyun Kyung isn’t my absolute favorite writer but she’s up there in my esteem. Her strength is the human soulful element and her weakness is cohesive intensity and narrative pacing. What sets her apart … Continue reading →
I don’t follow K-actress Han Hye Jin‘s career even though I’ve actually watched so many of her dramas, but I love this latest news too much not tos hare. Her breakout hit from a decade ago Be Strong Geum Soon is one of my favorite daily dramas ever, except it was less her and more due to Kang Ji Hwan. … Continue reading →
I already gushed about Lotte Duty Free pairing up Hallyu stars Park Shin Hye and recently out of the military Yoo Seung Ho as their latest spokescouple, but there is a new batch of way too cute stills that merit a repeat gush session. It looks like this pairing is here to stay, at least through the end of the … Continue reading →
The first teaser is out for Oh My Ghost, the next tvN Fri-Sat drama that will take over the time slot from the low-rated but decently liked Ex-Girlfriend’s Club. I remember 2013 having a ton of supernatural dramas including The Master’s Sun and Who Are You but last year the summer season did have any thrills and chills. Oh My … Continue reading →
The development process of upcoming SBS weekend drama The Time I Loved You is the very definition of a rough ride. The PD leaving and then returning, the original scriptwriter getting swapped out for a replacement duo, things were already looking dire even before the release of the first teaser landed the production in its latest mess for plagiarizing the … Continue reading →
I feel like Lee Min Jung has been out of the limelight for a long time, when really its been two months only since she was in the news for safely delivering her first baby with husband Lee Byung Hun. With the negative publicity surrounding him since last year’s scandal when he was blackmailed by two starlets after some shady … Continue reading →
This legal entertainment news is too hilarious and bizarre not to share, even better is combining it with a substantive post about an upcoming movie. Top C-actress Zhao Wei is in the midst of filming a gritty HK-movie with famed director Johnny To called Three, opposite two equally famous HK actors Louis Koo and Wallace Chung. The movie is a … Continue reading →
The year of the K-drama OTP reunions was in 2014 but it’s never too late to the party especially if something new is brought to the shindig. Established drama veterans Kim Hyun Joo and Ji Jin Hee are said to be in talks to headline the next SBS weekend drama airing after The Time I Loved You. The drama is … Continue reading →
In a cross-border production that isn’t one of those ubiquitous Chinese-Korean joint drama/movie, there is a Japanese-Korean drama currently being filmed in Seoul that stars Big Bang member TOP with top J-actress Ueno Juri. The K-media was out in force on the streets of Seoul’s bustling trendy areas watching TOP and Juri film a cute date scene, complete with hand … Continue reading →
