Oh boy, that kid’s face says it all, doesn’t it? Incheon airport was a frenzy yesterday as A-list but scandal prone actor Lee Byung Hun returned to Korea with his pregnant wifey actress Lee Min Jung in tow. The two have spent the last two months in the US likely to lay low as the legal proceedings wrapped in the … Continue reading →
I’ll believe this casting will happen after I see the signature on the dotted line. Until then, any drama (or movie) casting mentioning Kim Soo Hyun gets taken with a huge grain of salt from me. Even one like this, which sounds like it could happen, as opposed to the random Dr. Frankenstein offer from late last year. K-ent is … Continue reading →
The tables are finally set for the upcoming SBS Wed-Thurs drama Sensory Couple, aka The Girl Who Sees Smells, and the question is whether the audience will take a seat at the table. Just as Hyde, Jekyll, Me rounds the corner on episode 12, leaving only 8 episodes remaining before my Hyun Bin is freed from captivity, SBS can breathe … Continue reading →
There might be a new sheriff in town, and other than having a snazzier name than bland sounding Robin, he might actually be the missing link in this whole story. Hyde, Jekyll, Me has been underwhelming from the first moment on but those still watching (like me!) have bene holding out for an eventual reward however small. I see a … Continue reading →
I wonder if the casting director was aware of the debunked dating rumors last year, or simply thought these two popular youngsters would be great paired up together? Regardless of the reason, I totally dig the new fried chicken CF featuring Lee Jong Seok and Suzy beaming with youthful cuteness. This is exactly how to package these two together, in … Continue reading →
I swear my “Ha Na is like Seo Jin’s special tree” metaphor came completely organically. I kept wondering how best to really capture her presence in Hyde, Jekyll, Me (or Hyde, Jekyll, Tree) so far and her stiff and blank facial expressions (or non-expressions) totally landed me in the tree comparison realm. Even better is Seo Jin having an indoor atrium/hothouse … Continue reading →
This casting news feels like three steps too early but that’s hardly a problem when the bigger issue is recent dramas seemingly not being able to cast leads. The upcoming KBS Mon-Tues drama has now been confirmed to be an out-of-the-blue selection called Hello Monster. Originally the personality disorder medical drama Dr. Frankenstein was supposed to follow behind the currently … Continue reading →
Proactive and in charge Goo Seo Jin basically rocks my world. If he’s front and center then everything about Hyde, Jekyll, Me gets infinitely better. Episode 11 was a nice episode of conflict development, half of which I care about and the other half necessary to get over some humps. The two personalities sharing one body conundrum takes a turn … Continue reading →
When the biggest selling point is the collective pretty of the two leads, no one can fault the production of the upcoming C-movie The Third Way of Love for trotting out leads Song Seung Heon and Crystal Liu at every opportunity. The movie doesn’t open until the early spring movie season but the early promos are underway starting with a … Continue reading →
Now that Yeo Jin Gu is confirmed for upcoming KBS Friday night drama Orange Marmalade, I’m for sure going to check it out regardless of who the other leads end up being. It’ll be his first leading man role after a decade of being the most famous K-drama male child actor of his generation. Better yet is having him play … Continue reading →
A mess doesn’t even begin to describe the public back-and forth going on this week between Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend-likely-baby momma Ms. Choi. The whiplash sniping is taking place via their respective mouthpieces, KeyEast representing Kim Hyung Joong and Ms. Choi continuing to be repped by her lawyer during the domestic violence assault case from last summer, but … Continue reading →
This official drama casting news out of Korea today makes me feel like a soothsayer of sorts since I already wrote about it a few weeks. Back then was merely passing along insider information from MBC, the type of gossip that may or may not end up happening since the casting cycle is so unpredictable. On Air did a great job … Continue reading →
Is anyone else still watching Hyde, Jekyll, Me find the symptoms of the onset of conditioning. I feel like a dog accustomed to disappointment so the tiniest of affection makes me giddy. I can count on one hand the things I like about the drama so far, and it goes like this: Hyun Bin, Seo Jin, Director Gu, Sung Joon, … Continue reading →
