There are cases of stars getting cancelled or in trouble with the law and we stop seeing them onscreen, but other times stars just slowly stop acting and there are too many to count and I have plenty of faves on that list. Recently two actresses gave interviews explaining why each has been MIA on the small screen for years. Han Ye Seul shared that she was getting an aesthetician’s license because she loves beauty and perhaps one day it would be her job. She confessed to wanting to act but in recent years has not gotten any offers or scripts. Her dream would be to do a Netflix drama which are her faves. Conversely Choi Kang Hee was featured as a guest in a variety talk show where she explained that she consciously left K-ent three years ago to stop acting. She told her manager not to take any scripts and even changed her cell phone. She told her family she didn’t want to act anymore and her family was supportive and told her to go live the life she wanted. She’s then tried different jobs such as waitress, housecleaner, sanitation worker, and went to school to learn to be a broadcast writer. She had been acting for 25 years and wanted to figure out what she was good at beyond that. I hope both actresses find what each is looking for.
