The year end is also a good time to look back and see which stars really connected with consumers, as in South Korea actors, singers, sports stars, and even variety show hosts all make even better living endorsing products. The 2020 Year End Poll conducted by the Advertising Association found that perennial CF darling IU remains the favorite among the … Continue reading →
Next year’s big dramas is definitely led by the wilderness survival K-drama Mount Jiri. Starring Jeon Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon with the script by Kim Eun Hee of Kingdom and Signal and the PD of Mr. Sunshine, this drama screams both arthouse cred and Hallyu reach. The two leads play park rangers working in Jiri Mountain and encounter … Continue reading →
I’m glad to see a K-drama take a location shoot seriously and expensively without needing to be in an exotic overseas locale. Upcoming highly anticipated human survival and nature drama Mount Jiri will be starting primary filming next month in September 2020. Starring Jeon Ji Hyun, Joo Ji Hyun, and Oh Jung Se, the drama will be filmed on location … Continue reading →
K-actress Jeon Ji Hyun has been teasing us with her comeback in four years after the brief snippet of her at the end of zombie sageuk Kingdom 2 in March. She’s already signed on for the mountain rescue drama Mount Jiri with Joo Ji Hoon (initially Park Seo Joon) but she will reportedly pull double duty and also film the … Continue reading →
K-actress Jeon Ji Hyun in her over twenty years in the industry has justified all her high rates for movies, dramas, and CFs. She’s a natural at “selling” something be it a character or an item. I never tire of seeing a new pictorial from her which is usually in conjunction with a brand she is repping but it’s never … Continue reading →
The top two highest paid actresses in K-drama land has been the same for ten years – Jeon Ji Hyun and Lee Young Ae get 100 million won per episode (around $83,000 USD). Below them but with a significant gap is Ha Ji Won, Choi Ji Woo, Kim Hee Ae, and Song Hye Kyo at 75 million won. K-ent is … Continue reading →
Okay, this is an unexpected switcheroo. The male lead of upcoming national park based K-drama Mount Jiri will now be Joo Ji Hoon, after earlier news that Park Seo Joon was in talks for the role. This would be a reunion for Joo Ji Hoon and female lead Jeon Ji Hyun, of sorts, since they had like 5 seconds of … Continue reading →
OMG this is such a fun, subjective, and totally debatable what-if topic. K-netizens on TheQoo have started a discussion topic asking what of the first-gen Hallyu top actresses would have been the visual center spot had they all debuted in one idol group together. Would it be brainy Kim Tae Hee (162 cm), versatile Jeon Ji Hyun (173.5 cm), feminine … Continue reading →
I think the buzz level if equivalent here – Jeon Ji Hyun continues to collect her top K-drama male leads and Park Seo Joon is rolling off a career high K-drama success into a pairing with one of the walls of K-ent actresses. Just days after finishing Itaewon Class, Park Seo Joon has gotten an offer that matches his newfound … Continue reading →
K-actress Jeon Ji Hyun has been in the news a lot in recent weeks and all positive reasons. The latest is confirmation that she will be making a K-drama return with Mount Jiri penned by the screenwriter Kim Eun Hee of Kingdom, Signal, Sign, Phantom, and Three Days. Mount Jiri is about the best park ranger working in the vast … Continue reading →
Perfect for the weekend or for being cooped up at home either in self-quarantine or laziness, the Netflix K-drama Kingdom season 2 has dropped with all 6-episodes at once. Woo hoo, talk about a feast to chow on, lol. It stars the original cast of Joo Ji Hoon, Bae Doo Na, and Ryu Seung Ryong, who all made it alive … Continue reading →
A poll and post has been making its way through K-netizen ranks and it’s relatively consensus driven on who is considered one of South Korea’s top 10 beauties here in 2020. It’s like the same list since 2005 if you ask me, and honestly probably justified considering these ladies were each considered a top in some way when they debuted … Continue reading →
One top goddess is coming back to the small screen and in a one-two punch way. Jeon Ji Hyun will be appearing at the end of the upcoming Kingdom 2, taking on what will likely be an important role even with a short screen time. It was setting the stage for her real comeback which is in the new K-drama … Continue reading →
