Yellow is the New Black at 2020 Weibo Night Awards with Striking Gowns by C-actresses Tang Yan, Ni Ni, and Guan Xiaotong

It’s been some time since I saw so much glitz and glamour and this time it’s courtesy of C-ent which held the 2020 Weibo Night Awards despite it already being 2021. Better late than never and the ceremony feted popular C-stars in various categories that I’m less curious about than checking out the fasion. Yellow, bright canary yellow, as the It Color of the night with multiple actresses donning gowns either totally that color or using it as an accent. My fave looks were Tang Yan who went with mermaid yellow gown with soft blue gloves that doubled as giant sleeves and Guan Xiaotong who played up her enviable youth with a mini-dress in front with a flowing train in back. Angelababy also wore the same shade of yellow in one of her two looks of the night but it was a little too puffy and overwhelmed like an 80’s prom dress, same with Yang Zi who looked like a lavender meringue. Check out all the looks below!

  2. Glad to see Chinese stars embracing color and taking some fashion risks in gown styles instead of the usual boring sea of black & white. Refreshing.

    • Only K-stars will go for either black or white. C-stars are always adventurous when come to red carpet fashion and have way better stylings.

  3. awards shows are like the one place where you can go all-out. be dramatic!! if only Kcelebs’ stylists will take note.

  4. In my opinion, Chinese celebrities way better than South Korean when comes to fashion for the Award event. Chinese celebs fashion usually more colorful and the design way more better.
