Namgong Min Wins First Daesang at the 2020 SBS Drama Awards for Stove League
The 2020 SBS Drama Awards are in the bag and boy was it a stuffed bag. The stars didn’t do the red carpet, only hosts Kim Yoo Jung and Shin Dong Yeop was masked and met the media. The attendees from presenters to winners were segregated in rooms in the back and only came out to accept awards so this ceremony got to go on without face masks or everyone wearing gloves, which made the MBC Drama Awards last night very interesting indeed. Namgong Min took home the Daesang for Stove League, and it’s telling that Han Suk Kyu didn’t even show up for the ceremony or get any lesser awards, though his cast of Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim 2 took home the most awards across the various categories. SBS tripled up on both Top Excellence and Excellence, and also gave it to multiple winners per category. Check it out below! Outfits were still mostly black and white though Park Eun Bin‘s pink dress was a breath of life and Lee Sung Kyung‘s dress may have been black but goodness those feathers and mesh with polka dots I couldn’t stop staring it was so weird.

I’m happy for Nam Goong Min. This style (a little bit tan) suits him so well. It’s hard to focus for Awaken :p
I’m happy for Park Eun Bin! With Kim Min Jae, they formed a beautiful couple (even if the struggle at the end was a little too much).
i’m very happy for Nam Gong Min . But everyone get an award . I don’t call this anymore an award ceremony but a kind of party where every worker gets a something . Perhaps because the year was a difficult one , but i find that all actors looked tired and not at their best . But thanks to them all , we were able to enjoy some stressless moments and just for that they all owned to win a prize !
Off of topic but is “the penthouse” worth to watch ? I finished “Kairos” , still watching the uncanny counter but i need another drama and i don’t still know wich one to choose .
Think Sky Castle + a little bit of World of the Married and add lots and lots of crack. Maybe give it a few episodes and decide for yourself if you like it or not?

Used to watch him on We Got Married with Hong Jin-young, and back then he still didn’t have much recognition as an actor despite being in the game for so long.

It has been long overdue for NGM so he definitely deserved this recognition.
Kim yoo Jung was robbed. She deserved the Top excellence award. Park Eun Bins acting so bland. shes just SBS flavor of the month hence she won this award.
Well, you don’t work there nor in-charge of the awards presentation. This is definitely a punishment for degrading other actresses that won awards.

Ur real bias it seems is not capable at all and really dont stand a chance against yoojung so i guess she has to depend on ppl like u to adopt such ideas (acting as yoojung fan and criticize other actors) so that u can make everyone hate her but let me tell u doing this will no way will elevate ur real bias

Nam Goong Min’s win is the award that I kind of agree though I have not watched Stove League haha but I watched his performances in his other drama, I’d say he is one of the best Korean Actors. It’s long overdue. Finally his time has come.
I have lists of outstanding actors who has not won Daesang, some of them have been in the industry for almost or some more than 20 years. You would wonder why, yet there are not so outstanding actors easily receiving Daesang. Oh well, at least, I can scratch NGM off the list. Congratulations!
